Shots Fired! Washington Navy Yard on lockdown
 

The Washington Navy Yard was placed on lockdown after multiple shots were fired inside a building on the base, the U.S. Navy said. Four people were killed, according to several news reports. The Navy confirmed multiple fatalities, but would not immediately confirm that figure.

At least 10 people were injured in the shooting, including eight civilians, one Washington, D.C., Metro police officer and one base officer, D.C. Metro Police said.

Inside job or what? From what I saw in a brief news clip, there is a lot, lot, lot of security checks to get in that building.

They have 2 people pinned down, hopefully the shooter/s so they can be tortured..

I think 1 shooter is dead, and 2 more are suspected in there.

One witness said in a clip, and was backed up by her co worker, that the man they saw looked like a dark skinned male wearing all dark clothing and he had a rifle and shot at them, missing high on the wall before they ran out of the building.

I wonder which foreign country has its hooks in American bases. That's bad that that keeps happening huh. It's a real indicator of somethings.

I was watching CNN and some official was starting to describe how this was one of the most secure facilities in the DC area. Needless to say the transmission was cut during mid sentence.

DC itself is extremely strict with gun laws. The Navy Yard is a fortress like area with Marine guards and is home to the Chief of Naval Operations for the US Navy. As secure a place as it gets.
