I didn't think i'd be buying any more games for the current consoles, but with the constant hype and marketing on this one, even i'm considering making one more purchase before the new machines are unleashed.

Many people here were sent out their pre-order copies from Amazon a day before the official release.

It is nothing. A PC release date hasn't even be announced yet. No mention of it on Main site or on Amazon. Who knows if a PC version will ever be released.

i played it last friday night at a friend, an avid game enthusiast. He pre-ordered it too, but he still had to download the leaked version because he couldnt wait. It was fun and the hours flew by, but i wasnt really impressed with the graphics. Expected it to look much better. But im not really a gamer so i guess it looks good for todays graphics.

I think that's why everyone is waiting on the new consoles being released. The graphics since the PS3 and 360 originally came out a few years ago haven't really changed much at all. So the games don't really have that "wow" factor as much.

Hopefully the new consoles deliver just that, and we can go back to being impressed with what we are looking at, aswell as playing...

I'll be buying mine this week. Can't wait. I will buy the PS4 or Xbox One version when the consoles come out too.

Since this is the last big game for PS3, I'll be playing it as my last game for a while --- and hopefully I can resist the urge to buy a PS4. I love games so much, and I've spent my entire life playing them, but I need to get some shit done career-wise.

I'm going to enjoy every minute of this game, because a big sandbox like this is right up my alley.

That is why a PC version would be so great. The games graphics wont look good because of the PS3 hardware not because of how the game was built. It would be like buying a 5 year old PC with a decent graphics card and then trying to run the newest games on it. You will be able to do it but not at Ultra or High settings.

that is true about the graphic hardware of the two consoles but what television you own to display your viewing matters too.

sometimes i go out at night and everybody especially along the more affluent waterfronts have enormous ass sized televisions sitting in their living rooms either plasma or lcd most commonly.

okay so you can get a good picture but i just have a twenty nine inch panasonic tube, gives a pretty good picture actually, i don't need a more modern television. i mean i could set one up hanging on my wall it would be nice but i don't even watch television anyway so why should i.

time to dig up those best buy gift cards and pick it up tomorrow :thumbsup

Sure had some good fun with GTA Vice City way back when. Running people over with the ambulance, raising hell with that hellicopter, beating people to death with a golf club... ahh the memories.

Read somewhere that it's the most expensive game of all time (production, marketing, ...), and it already grossed the expenses in presales. Pretty nice.

Graphics are over rated. Gameplay matters far more

I agree. I think thats why so many people love retro 80's games. I have Missile Attack on my iPhone and play it all the time in both normal mode and 80's retro 8 bit graphic mode. Imagination makes up for alot.

me too, property investments, roflcopter. i think in the story too that is enabled in the game after texas avery, one of the characters in the game, suggests it to tommy in the limo, with a young donald love present, as being a legitimate front.

a game that should be played. these people who play gta 4, the expansions, gta 5... they should go to their video and dvd hire stores and try and buy the old consoles and gta games to enable them to play because it is an opportune time, this is the time to buy, and things like that are collectables as they get older.

that's how i started playing ps2 again, because my girlfriend told me of a video and dvd hire store i could buy one. sony made the playstation 2 obsolete only last christmas, nobody watches movies now how they used to, and these businesses don't want these old consoles and games anymore because generally people don't want to be entertained by those products anymore, in other words, its all about the latest and greatest to those shallow cunts.

you could probably still get the old hardware and software for a reasonable deal if one looked around hard enough so get out there and check out the market. :)

I was a PC hound years ago, but ever since I bought my PS3 I have the gameplay over graphics philosophy too. After you've seen a few really pretty games, there's no need to see another if the gameplay isn't that great.

The console games look good enough anyway. When you're 8 feet away from a 50 inch screen, it looks the same as the PC.

Anyway, these 3rd person games feel clumsy with a mouse and keyboard. Of course mouse/keyboard rules for 1st person.

given more thought that should scare the hell out of me, someone who finds holes in the law or a illegitimate person finding legitimate ways to get a pay cheque. imagine if someone did that to try and kill someone?

I've been enjoying it, but have only played an hour because I've been pretty slammed lately. Looking forward to being able to put in another hour or two later in the week on it.

I'm still working on Saints Row 4 (which is blast). I must resist the urge to buy GTA tomorrow. Maybe I'll slash my tires before I go to bed.

The shops all had plenty of copies today. No pre-orders needed.

at times the graphics look amazing for the hardware, other times you can tell the system is being pushed too its limits and can't quite keep up. its a pretty amazing achievement, remember we are talking about 8 year old hardware. I am playing on a launch day xbox 360
