Wow, MSNBC Is Coming Apart At The Seams

After all the left leaning hyperbole about Fox News Channel...MSNBC has really been shown to be the greedy, hypocritical pieces of garbage that I knew they were.

So far they have fired a bunch of on-air people and canceled a ton of shows.

And now Comcast & Al Sharpton are being sued in a 20 billion dollar racial discrimination suit by the National Association of African-American Owned Media!

They allege in the suit that Sharpton being hired to host his show on MSNBC was a "payoff" to keep him from opposing the merger of Comcast and Time Warner!

The suit points out that Sharpton has zero journalistic training or experience and his show is one of the lowest rated on television...but yet he retains his show for three years now!!!

Been hoping for something like this!

I guess it shows that there is not a big audience for far left shit. Now perhaps Fox News can implode so we can get rid of both far wing nut news stations..

As far as Sharpton he's as croupt as any politician but would be funny if the alleged suit was true. Perhaps it will shut his dumb ass up a bit. Guys like him do far more harm for black people than help them.

Then again he will just cry racism and say the man is keeping him down and his followers will eat it up. It's like christans claiming they are oppressed in the US.. They just eat it up..

All the media in the US has been sucking more and more, even CNN who used to be the most respected source has turned to more "reality" type programming and is even running a game show.

She never had her own daily show on Fox. She was just a guest. Just like she was a guest on every news organization out there.

As for the "news" here...quit worrying about Fox...NBC apparently is THE one to worry about. From their distortions on Dateline NBC (rigging trucks to explode), to Brian Williams lying about everything he's done, and now MSNBC...that place is looking like a total house of lies and distortions.

By the way, there are still some good places to get the news on these channels. MSNBC actually has some decent reporting in the early morning. Fox's news hour with Shepard Smith is good. Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer on CNN are good. And Al Jazeera America is very good.

So basically about an hour of real news on each network per day. lol

No, you are assuming the whole process is clean and legit. Audiences and ratings have zero to do with it. That's not how propaganda works.

Why is MSNBC doing this? For the same reason liberal talk radio stations turn into Rush Limbaugh-carrying right-wingers overnight. The Powers That Be have decided that having the token liberal MSNBC no longer gives them the propagandic leverage they seek going into the 2016 elections. They know Hillary carries with her a big audience so they do not want what would amount to her own cable channel going into 2016. Remember, the Goal here is ALWAYS to get as close to 50-50 as the public will buy and accept as a legitimate electoral win. With MSNBC around Clinton would have a 70/30 propagandic split and the Right Wing, even with Fox, has nothing to counteract it.

See, if Hillary has a 70/30 electoral win then how could the propaganda machine convince Americans and the rest of the World that the Republican, whoever that may be, won? Think clearly, play chess people.

BTW: This has nothing to do with Left or Right, it's all about balance. Corporations hate any kind of disruption in revenue flow. Remember that.

What's the big shake-up? I just checked the website and it looks like they still have Chris Matthews, Ed Schulz, and Rachel Maddow on air for the foreseeable future. I don't see how whatever it is that they're doing can be truly considered a shake-up unless it involves one of them.

I think you are over reaching on the political propaganda side of things. Simple fact is once 24/7 News networks became the norm they were always chasing ratings. Ratings mean more viewers and more money from advertisers.

This is one of the reasons if I do watch news it's usually CBS, because they don't run a 24/7 news station and don't have to chase ratings like Fox, CNN, MSNBC ect does.

This is why Fox for example pushes their hard core right wing BS. I don't think it's so much that they try to brainwash the masses (that's just a side affect) it's they are giving their viewers what they want to hear.

If you spoon feed people what they want to hear they are going to watch more and get higher ratings. If someone thinks Obama sucks, they aren't going to tune into MSNBC to hear a overtly liberal tone. They are going to tune into Fox news because Fox reassures them with their anti liberal stance.

Meanwhile some far left liberal isn't going to tune into Fox news to hear how many times one of the talking heads can say Obama sucks. They instead are going to tune into MSNBC. The problem is there just are not as many hard core left wing bats as there are right wing bats. Meaning it's not profitable to cater to the far left as there is not a big market to cater too, hence low ratings for MSNBC.

Fox News is successful for the same reason anyone that tries to get a rise out of people is. Those that like it listen, those that hate it listen. Those claim they hate fox news quote it more than any other source. liberals are more easily baited and respond more emotionally than conservatives. Liberal tv and radio has always failed. Bill Mahare is one of the very few to last more than a year or two and he's done it by pushing the envelope

Almost 1/2 of msnbc programming was shows like Locked Up. Shitty, depressing and repetitive - it doesn't take a tv programming genius to see the writing on the wall when a news network is showing reality tv programming to survive.

And that has nothing to do with their politics and everything to do with the hosts of the shows being un-likeable personalities.

My point in the thread is that they have just fired a ton of people AND have been outed as basically bribing Al Sharpton to not oppose the big merger.
They actually have given that clown his own show to play/pretend to be a journalist just so he won't lead any protests against them for their big corporate merger.
