It's a free market. You are free to voice your displeasure by no longer watching TV Land and encouraging your friends to do the same. Also, don't shop at places that are pulling the flag and contact them to let them know you have stopped and why. If enough people do this and it effects their business, they might change their mind.

Bottom line :

Dukes of Hazard, Ebay etc....
These are all side issues not even pursued by opponents of the flag.

The issue has always been removing the flag from the state capitol grounds in South Carolina.
The NCAA has a boycott on SC until the flag is removed.
This has been going on for years.

The major retailers pulling merchandise are doing it to show that they support moving
past this shit.
They are just joining the NCAA in saying SC needs to move the flag.

Finally, it's probably not good long term business to sell the flag when it's being waved
by people who murdered 9 blacks in a church and burned down 7 more black owned churches in just a week.

You just don't want to admit that racist people are killing black people in the name of the flag.

The major problem with gun laws is that liberals like new ones, but liberal judges like to plea bargain down the effect. Chicago has the toughest laws in nation, yet the judges plea down almost every gun related case and the gangs know this.

I've handed down 3 guns to my daughter, one for protection, two because of the age of the guns, one was from 1932 and the other from 1945. Then again, my daughter has never taken any brain altering drugs from the doctor either.

I think the TV show and other things are coming into play because some people feel like this is a
"tipping point".

Americans have become so used to hearing that X number of people got shot that some of them
are just not processing the full gravity of the murders.

It's not about the TV show, it's about business execs deciding that they don't desire to
