all i can say is taste is subjective... personally it was one of the worst movies i've seen this year, boring and completely forgettable.

I guess I haven't missed anything by not going to the movies

Is there a list of the movies they selected from? I cannot seem to find it.

I am intrigued by this select group of 120 people all based in the one city.

Off the top of my head i'd say that Straight Outta Compton was far better than MM.

i thought i had seen a list somewhere, MM:FR isn't my best film of 2015. it's certainly on my list of best 2015 films though.

I liked the old Mad Max movies, but Mad Max: Fury Road was just another "The Fast and the Furious" clone in a different setting. The intro and trailer was the best part of the movie.

I thought Fury Road was a really good movie. I enjoyed it and glad it was a successful reboot. With that said, 2015 was a pretty weak year for movies. If The Force Awakens lives up to the hype, it could salvage a pretty lackluster 2015.

i tried to sit through thunderdome recently, couldn't. the original Mad Max is good, i hadn't realized i had never really seen it, it wasn't originally released here in the USA, the Road Warrior is really the first MM film here, it's my fav, by far, the first one isn't near as compelling to watch.

nevertheless, the blue ray MM:FR is an epic watch, all the BTS stuff while being able to enjoy the visuals in the comfort of your own home on your nice rig.

very enjoyable visual story-telling.

The problem with Fury Road, was not that it was a bad story, plot or anything like that. It was just too fast paced to devlope any sort of feelings for the characters.. I honestly had no feelings for any of them be it good guys or bad guys. They just didn't devlope them into someone you cared about.

The scenes and filming was great and the cars were awesome but the whole make a non stop action movie kinda killed any sort of character build up.

just more garbage to feed a population dumbed down to the level of farm animals.

i disagree. i thought they created enough char dev with max by taking his blood and his car, when he yells that out in the scene, i busted out laughing. it summed it all up wonderfully in 1 single sentence and left the rest to the visuals. i thought the villian was also developed enough to make me feel creeped out by him.

and don't forget, the cars are characters in this movie too, the war rig is considered to be a main character.

Actually, the people like us who appreciate Fury Road are the movie snobs. Everyone else could be classified as "movie idiots".

So, after its been nominated by the National Board of Review as best film of the year -- you just watch it get snubbed for an Oscar nomination.

Mad Max is above average movie.

I saw it and then paid to see it again on the big screen...

I didn't mean so much Max or the villain, but more the rest of the sub chars. I really didn't care if any of them lived or died.

Here's hoping, wouldn't want to encourage anyone to destroy the brand further with an even worse movie.

I seem to recall a little picture call Porky's a few years back. Now that was a film!

I thought it was great. Tried to watch ant-man a few days ago and just had a nap instead. I'm not watching another marvel movie. Complete garbage.

The effort alone, in the production of the machines for the film, should be enough to push it to the top! The stunts....unfucking real!

This movie is good, it has great 3d effect and it is really interesting to watch, but there's no way that it is the best movie of 2015... Bad choice... :)

You can't really compare it with the original ones, I see it more as a story set in the same universe than a simple reboot.

to compare it is an insult to the originals. I think george miller outsourced the script for fury road to 12 year old fans of captain america: the first avenger.
