Paxum SEPA cards suspended?

Hi Paxum and al,

I noticed my paxum SEPA mastercard isn't working today. Now i see i recevied an email from paydek/paxum:

"The use of your Paydek1 General Spend card issued by PayrNet2 has been suspended as of 17/06/2021 at 3PM (BST). This is because the agreement between us, PayrNet Limited, and Dek-Co (trading as Paydek) came to an end on that day.
It is important that you understand that you will not be able to use your card with immediate effect for any transactions.
There is no further action required on your part.""

Anyone else received this mail? What will happen to the funds we have on our SEPA card?

grtz

Same here. Got the same mail. Not even referring Paxum, but tried it and it is not working. Shit, was using it almost daily... and no word from Paxum.

xxx6live 06-17-2021 09:55 AM

Got an answer now. The funds will be returned.

We regret to inform you that, as a result of a change in risk appetite policy, our Paxum Mastercard issuing bank no longer desires to be connected with the adult sector and has decided to discontinue the card service.

We're working on integrating a new card solution, but we don't have a firm date on when it'll be ready. In the meanwhile, you can use one of our other withdrawal options or your Unionpay card if you have one.
We also want to let you know that the fee for using the EFT withdrawal option has been reduced to $2.5/ transfer

Your Paxum Mastercard will be closed and the funds will be returned to your Paxum account.

Yep, Paxum should definitely send separate email to their clients regarding this. First, I wasn't even sure what card that email reffers to as I use more ewallets, also for a moment I thought (hoped) it's a phishing email.

Another Paxum success story.

:thumbsup

MrBeaver 06-17-2021 10:33 AM

I hope we will see a new (SEPA) Mastercard and it will not take ages like last time we waited for a new mastercard.. The unioncard is useless for most of us.

SleepWalker 06-17-2021 10:34 AM

Is that Unionpay available to order?

TubeSubmitters 06-17-2021 12:22 PM

Rollout of new cards in the next few months, so no new cards will be shipped before christmas :(

Kelli58 06-17-2021 04:17 PM

How many times are they going to report "trouble" before people finally wake up and find a better solution? Sorry but I'm not taking the risk with my money.

CaptainHowdy 06-17-2021 04:39 PM

You guys just have to move to the countries where the Paxum card works. Simple as that.

Yes but luckily I don't transact with my SEPA card for years, instead I am withdrawing funds thru wire or local card transfer.

bgmen 06-18-2021 12:12 AM

What luck. A few days ago I received an email that my new SEPA card would be delivered to my address.

I only used it for withdrawing from ATM, it was instant and a bit cheaper than wire/EFT.

Keep us posted. I have also Unionpay card that I received many months ago but never activated it. I'm not sure if it works at ATMs in my country but according to UnionPay's ATM locator it should work here.

I'm not 100% sure but i think i once did some math and figured out it's better to do a withdraw ($50 fee + some bank fees) when you reach about $5000 rather than withdrawing at an ATM x 5.

I fully agree. There are much better ways to transfer money or to keep it safe. Well, for EU countries or North Amercia for sure.

adultchatpay 06-18-2021 04:31 AM

And now they have problem with withdrawal to own credit card. They said they are having technical difficulties so transfer are getting rejected.

zerovic 06-18-2021 05:27 AM

The Unionpay card works just fine on the OTP ATMs in Serbia. I have tried Raiffeisen and the Postal Savings Banks ATMs today, but non of them worked. Thank god something works lol

Cheers,
z

Is Paxum coming with an announcement here and some additional information? I kinda would expect Paxum to have a top thread here about this.

Yeah, this is a major issue so at least they should issue some statement at least.

adultchatpay 06-18-2021 07:04 AM

Right now looks like personal accounts can order the UnionPay free.

Better than nothing and works with ATM
