Rap videos make me mad
Ok, I'm watching this one video right now by "Juvenile" called "Ha." It's filmed in some housing project, showing all the toothless 19 year old mothers and grannies and broken down cars and cops frisking kids. Then he's posing on his Vette and Porsche with his homies, holding up his diamond/gold neck chains.
DUDE. If you have the money, shouldn't you be getting your family the hell OUT OF THERE?? Screw the jewelry and cars! Get out of the ghetto! *sigh* |
bitch please, :glugglug do you know where he stay. do you know the concept for the video...if you don't shut your trap...

i agree with elli

Explain? And try to do it without calling me a bitch, please. :) |
Elli, I agree 100%. Only there's a catch: PEOPLE LOVE DRAMA. There's no market for a rap song where they made it out of the hood and live in a mansion, only songs where they're struggling to get out.
I hate rap, but I can understand the marketing behind it and it's pure genious! :thumbsup |

First of all, Elli, let me apologize for that azzhole who called you a bitch! That was way out of line! Secondly, Juvie and the rest of the "cash money millionaires" are from my hometown of New Orleans, LA. Besides being famouse for Mardi Gras, New Orleans is also semi-famous for it's housing projects. ABC's World News Tonight says that the housing projects in New Orleans are the worse in the country! Cash Money Millionaires are trying to contrast between where they were and where they are now. |
The bigger the cap, the bigger the peelin',
who gives a fuck about a punk-ass villain? You're gettin' fucked real quick, and Eazy's dick, is smellin' like MC Ren's shit. Tried to tell you a year ago, but Willie D told me to let a hoe be a hoe, so I couldn't stop you from gettin' ganked, now let's play big-bank-take-little-bank. Tried to dis Ice Cube, it wasn't worth it cuz the broomstick fit your ass so perfect. Cut my hair and I'll cut them balls, cuz I heard you're, like, givin' up the drawers. Gang-banged by your manager, fella, gettin' money out your ass, like a mothafuckin' Ready Teller. Givin' up the dollar bills, now they got the Villain with a purse and high-heels. So don't believe what Ren say, cuz he's goin' out like Kunte Kinte, but I got a whip for ya Toby; used to be my homey, now you act like you don't know me. It's a case of divide-and-conquer, cuz you let a Jew break up my crew. House nigga gotta run and hide, yellin' Compton, but you moved to Riverside. So don't front, MC Ren, cuz I remember when you drove a B 2-10. Broke as a mothafuckin' joke. Let you on the scene to back up the Verse Team. It ain't my fault, one nigga got smart, and they rippin' your asshole apart. By takin' your green, oh yeah, the Villain does get fucked with no vaseline. |

I never have dinner with the President. I never have dinner with the President. I never have dinner with the President. And when I see your ass again, I'll be hesitant. Now I think you a snitch, throw a house nigga in a ditch |

Half-pint bitch, fuckin' your homeboys. You little maggot; Eazy E turned faggot. With your manager, fella, fuckin' MC Ren, Dr. Dre, and Yella. But if they were smart as me, Eazy E would be hangin' from a tree. With no vaseline, just a match and a little bit of gasoline. Light 'em up, burn 'em up, flame on... till that Jheri curl is gone. On a permanent vacation, off the Massa plantation. Heard you both got the same bank account, dumb nigga, what you thinkin' bout? Get rid of that Devil real simple, put a bullet in his temple. Cuz you can't be the Nigga 4 Life crew with a white Jew tellin' you what to do. Pullin' wools with your scams, now I gotta play the Silence of the Lambs. With a midget who's a punk too, tryin' to fuck me, but I'd rather fuck you. Eric Wright, punk, always into somethin', gettin' fucked at night. By Mista Shitpacker, bend over for the gotdamn cracker, no vaseline... |

man , it's show , they just want to grab your attention !
usually they don't act/live the same in real life as they are doing on tv:winkwink: |
It's like "Jenny From The Block"
Even though they live in big ass mansions, with butlers and all, they still put their life at risk to show people they are "Down with the ghetto". They flash their expensive chains, cars and clothes in the fuckin projects! Great way to get shot/robbed/gangbanged...:2 cents: |
I don't like rap at all.

edit-she's not going to give you none for 'standing up' for here this is to no one in particular,haha...bicth please is just like saying nigga please, i say bicth please even to a dude if he's acting bitch made..... |
all of these rappers move out once they get some cash....no such thing as a rapper keeping it "real"
|
A black man's explanation...
Juvenile made it as a rapper so he shot his first video in the same place he grew up... It just happened to be the projects... He's family is out of the projects.. But his family isn't everyone you see in that video You can't save everybody you know from hard times So basically the video is in the projects because thats where he grew up at, and those exact apartments are where he used to live.... It's ok Ellie you didn't know Same thing as if Eminem did a video at a trailer park... |
|
|
You just don't get the point. The song surely is pointing out that they did get out of there but they don't forget where they came from. That is why they shoot their videos in the projects. To make a point. Man, its a tough night out here.
|
I can understand the rap lyrics and the videos....What I can't understand is why such a large percentage of the black population wears the fake bling bling crap from the swapmeet. Do they really think that somebody is gonna believe that the crack head from the street is wearing platinum jewlery?
And these fuckers seriously believe that they are real players in the street game. How many true gangbangers wear that shit? Most likely...Not many because even the fake shit would draw unwanted attention. :2 cents: |

I really liked Chris Rock's dissertation in his new comedy special about how black people want to get rich, not wealthy. Very funny and true... |
they could still live there. thats what happens to a lot of broke people when they get money for the first time, they never knew how to manage it so they spend it on money and cars. not saying its true with juvenile, but most of the time it is.

Elli, it doesn't matter if you like rap videos or not. All that matters is that rappers can continue to sell to their core demographic, which is upper middle class white teenagers.
