yo SBJ, in that gfy link I posted, it's a thread "halfpint" posted, when you click it's a rick rolled thing, and it doesnt let you do anything, you have to alt+ctrl+delete and lose everything in your browser

I just dropped Fetish Hits as a sponsor because of halfpint. I did a few thousand a month with them and now they can add up the cost of halfpint's cute joke.

I lost an hour or so of work, ran a script to change links and they lose a few thousand a month in sales from me - from now on.

I'm ok with this, sure hope they think it was worth it.

I was able to close out of that rick rolled thing without losing any of my 20+ tabs.. just had to keep clicking the pop up till you saw all the lyrics and then it let me out of it.. guess i was lucky

I call bullshit on that. Nobody in their right mind will give up "a few thousand a month" because someone who flies fetishhits in their sig posted a rickroll that you were to stupid to actually close out causing your own work to be lost.

Anybody with half a brain could figure out how to close that without losing anything, so if anybody is at fault for you losing hours of work, it's yourself. :2 cents:

I dont quite understand how you are saying you have lost work by clicking on that link, All you have to do is close down the tab to that website by either right clicking and pressing close or by chasing it round the screen and clicking on the red square at the top of the browser then just keep on clicking on the song words.

I did it the first time I opened the site.

I had 4 tabs open when I clicked on it and it only closed the tab to the website down. None of the other tabs were closed

It does not install any shit on your browser, it was just a April fools joke and thats all it was.

After 60 posts about what it actually was, I am suprised that people are still clicking the link.

I'm still curious how one loses hours of work when their browser crashes and you have to start it back up: Which takes about 20 seconds or so. I can understand if one's in the middle of a huge market trade and it fucks that up, but hours of work because of a browser crash? Seriously? There's no auto-save / backup stuff going on with the web app being used or something?

D-null also posted thread with same,and i also lost work because of it,that is why i have him on ignore now.And yes this is bannable offense.Imagine if you just running important financial transaction in browser or working on server over control panel and nothing shouldn't interrupt that process.Possible damages are huge.I don't see difference between this and posting link to trojan site.

Actually, I had a bunch of work open, also working on a script that will cost more then those companies you think only cost $5k for a client and had no problem closing out 2 full tabs that were running that url at once..

Maybe next time before you go clicking random links, you'll think twice and check the status bar and see if it's a real link or not.

Who takes a break every once in a while to check out GFY while they have stats pages, admin areas and various other pages they're looking at, which in some cases are about 6 clicks deep in a chain of pages for a project they're looking into, and DOESN'T LIKE having to start all over finding where the fuck they were at because of some jackoff 'joke'?
