webmaster with 10yrs experience looking for work

I have been in the adult industry for 10 years and have done pretty much everything you can think of. At first I spent most of my time building and selling MGP sites and submitting galleries when it was still profitable. I am well known for building dansmovies.com from scratch and selling it to Rami.

I also built hosted movie galleries for companies like nscash and bangbros.

I have been updating fuckingfreemovies.com 7days per week since 2003 and never missed a single update with only 3 days per year of vacation. How is that for dedication!

I currently specialize in building blogs and search engine optimizing them.

Contact me on ICQ, MSN or AIM to talk.

I did land a job with a company but DVD sales are really slow right now it seems and they are cutting back.

Submitting galleries is not profitable? Seems you've got a lot to still learn then.

I should say not "as" profitable. My best friend still makes money doing it but lets be honest. There future looks grim for galleries.

I am the first to admit that I made mistakes along the way. Knowing what I know now I would have saved and re-invested but hindsight is 20/20. :upsidedow

Don't want to sound rude here..Although it makes you wonder if you were any good why would you be looking for work. Especially being in the industry this long. You should have a network of profitable sites by now and do not need to work for someone else.:2 cents:

I hear ya.

The main issue I had when building sites and submitting galleries was my work was too clean. That meant I did not convert as well as my competition. That's why I was building the sites up and selling them for money. That's what I was good at.

When I built dansmovies I had one traffic trade and did not skim any of the thumbs. There were zero ads on the site so people would bookmark it like crazy. It cost me 300/mth to host back then and I made zero sales because I wanted to keep the site clean with plans to sell it to somebody.

Anyways, marketing was not my strong point. lol

I have learned to SEO my current sites and its going very well. Building blogs is what I enjoy doing so it would be great to find a job in that field. :thumbsup

Most gallery submitters are either quitting the business or trying to find a new work now.

I see at least 4-5 new threads daily from webmasters looking for a job.

That's the first thing people say when people here about somebody being in the industry for a while is looking for work. It doesn't make sense to me.

Alot of people who are successful at doing something can make enough to turn it into a full time job. Then how are they to turn it into something very profitable without extra capital? If they don't have savings, then they can't take their idea further. So why does somebody being good at something have to translate into being successful? If you don't have money of your own to invest into something, most of the time, that project will slowly die down.

You have to take into account, everything you bring in isn't a profit. It generally goes to business costs, then bills and living. Until you exceed maybe 4-5k/month. Then you can start taking it to another level by reinvesting.

All it means is he hasn't been able to reach those numbers on his own. And he's not seeking capital to do it himself, instead he's going with another company.

Some people choose to work with companies. You don't think they are ever going to be inbetween jobs?

I agree...

If I had deep pockets I would be develpoing some hi-end domain names and spending big money on backlinks just like YOBT and pornhub does.

That's the problem when you go to GFY for a job. You go once and it's ok. You go more than once and people start to question if you have any skills or value.

Good Luck
