U.S. Authorities Shut Down 73,000 Blogs
After the U.S. Government took action against several sites connected to movie streaming recently, nerves are jangling over the possibility that this is just the beginning of a wider crackdown. Now it appears that a free blogging platform has been taken down by its hosting provider on orders from the U.S. authorities on grounds of ?a history of abuse?. More than 73,000 blogs are out of action as a result.

Bn.xx*********** was terminated by request of law enforcement officials, due to material hosted on the server. We are limited as to the details we can provide to you, but note that this was a critical matter and the only available option to us was to immediately deactivate the server. Please note that this was not a typical case, in which suspension and notification would be the norm. This was a critical matter brought to our attention by law enforcement officials. We had to immediately remove the server. |

Just remember that the reason people went broke from piracy is because Bush sat on his fucking ass for 8 years and did nothing. Don't get caught up in "buzz words" like socialism which I truly doubt that you even understand. Start looking at your fucking reality. This administration is doing something to put money back in my fucking pocket and assholes who call it "socialism" are fucking with my financial interest. |
if they really want to make a dent they have to go after pay per download programs like hotfile and sharing matrix as most pirate blogs make their money through them.

nice, hopefully they arent done :)

At the very least a tube site still makes you browse the site and look at ads in order to see the videos. With torrents you can download an entire member's area with just a few clicks. |

I think the music, tv and film industry are putting lots of pressure and they make big donations. Also you got a vice president who considers it stealing which we never heard from an admin.

in the past. The real reason nothing is being done about porn is that nobody in porn is putting up the same money/fight as the music/movie industry. I've never come to this board and seen a thread where a sponsor announces they were suing a tube site. |
gayporn programs are very aggressive and successful shutting down tubes and pirate sites.

Most of them are busy downsizing and cutting costs just trying to survive. Not saying there aren't a handful with deep pockets. But even someone with deep pockets that has seen their revenue stream cut by 50 to 60% over the last 2 years isn't going to come out ready to fight with that money. No, they are going to hoard it and hope to ride things out. Can't blame 'em one bit. Also consider that once you go to court suing somebody...you just put yourself on the govt. radar screen. I personally wouldn't do it even if I had the money to hand in barrels full to fucking lawyers. |
