How long until epassporte has full functionality?
How long do we have to wait until we can withdraw money from ATM through Epassporte plastic card?
Any ideas? |
we know just as much as you know
|
Fatfoo, your 50$ description money in your epassporte is gone forever.
Congratulations. Goodluck, fatfoo. ~~ |
Is there anyone that can answer that question? I don't think so, not today.
|
14 months, 8 days, 2 hours, and 21 minutes..... exactly.
|
I hope soon... I need that money to eat....

Have faith and disregard the doomsayers. My guess is that we'll all have a definite answer by Wednesday, perhaps even have some functionality by the end of the week..
One can only hope and be patient.. At least it's my own hope that I'm right about this. |
never ever again

the cards we currently hold, will likely never work again. |
wallet and wires will be operative

The cards were, presumably, all permanently canceled when ePassporte's VISA merchant processing relationship, from all indications, was terminated. People seeking to withdraw funds quickly, in the meantime, will need to request a bank wire instead. ePassporte charges $50 and that's on top of fees one's receiving bank charges ($10-15 is common), plus intermediaries, if any, (often around $20 each). It's possible that ePassporte could enter a new merchant processing agreement - not a sure thing. If they're able to, then they could then issue new cards, but that will take awhile, as in a few weeks at best, to more likely, a few months. Ron |

Fatfoo biz thread ??

I think they are gonna have to reissue new cards after they re establish a new relationship. There will be a $50 replacement card fee, how much money do you have in your epass account fatfoo?

Imagine the goldrush to pull funds out when and if that day comes. The amount of money people are willing to keep in their epass accounts just dropped about 95% I'd say. They're going to have some serious float problems.

the good news is, you are all going to get a free copy of Middle Men... :thumbsup

LOL! On VHS, though. :winkwink: |
Yeah, no chance ePass is going to open the flood gates again anytime soon. Just imagine the withdrawals.
One day, "Look, we have $15 million in our account!" Next day, "Oh shit, we only have $500 :(" |

They still have functionality and the error message is definately different than on an expired or canceled card. My ATM says that "this transaction is currently not allowed", when I use cash advance. I tried an old card, and its different. However, I agree with the rest of your post. |

Someone should make a graph of how the epass drama has affected overall sig whorage. I bet it's fallen off the map.
Fatfoo, can you tell us if you've noticed a lack of motivation to punch in at GFY these days? In 5 words or less, of course... |

So there's a slight, remote chance the cards could be restored - imho, high unlikely though. But for many ePassporte users with money stuck, even a 1 in zillion chance beats zero at this point - gives people hope. Ron |

I did not definitively say the cards were canceled nor the relationship terminated - I don't know the status any more than anyone else here other than ePassporte insiders. However, all indications point in that direction ... How often does VISA suspend a merchant relationship, including suspending all cards, of the size of ePassporte, and then later restore the cards / resume the relationship? Likely close to never? If it quacks like a duck, it likely is a duck ... hence, most likely the cards are canceled and the relationship terminated. Ron |

More likely what's happened is that Visa told the bank to get things in order for the new regulations. The bank told ePass. ePass lowered limits. Visa said that ain't enough and because we don't like you we're going to suspend things until you get your ducks in a row. Michael O has said he's 100% sure the funds will become available at some point. |

However, this could be a situation in which ePassporte knows it won't be able to comply with VISA's requirements and related banking regulations / laws while maintaining its existing business model... Without the virtual visa / cards, ePassporte is of limited usefulness to many ... bank wires are expensive while ACH / bank transfers take days verses the ease of popping in an ATM card and getting cash out right away. 2 weeks and 3 days

An epassporte card is made of plastic.
Plastic comes in many forms and colors. My uncle works at a plastic factory. I once jerked off inside a factory elevator. Hope that fucking helps and good luck shit lips!!!! |
