As for being remote, I've done my week long trips through the Rocky Mountains before, as I'm sure many here have. Never done the hunting part, but have done the treks. Guaranteed I'm not the only one.

The show does not have anything to do with her becoming President...it has to do with the big bucks she is being paid to star in the show...and she has been hunting and fishing since she was a child. I watched one episode and I may watch another if I come across it...not because of Palin being in it...but because Alaska is a magnificent state...and I love the wilderness and spend a lot of my time in the wilderness.

As for her ever running for the P:residency...I doubt that she will...and I agree with Barbara Bush who said..."she seems to love Alaska and I think she should stay there".

I think Palin is a very personable person but not Presidential material...but then again neither was Bush or Obama...so I suspect that she would do as good a job as either of those two.

I haven't watched it yet but I'm going to watch tonight's show with Kate. I think it will be entertaining to see the " city girl " try to survive with the " country girl ".

Since Palin lives in Alaska I don't see why it's hard to believe that she can hike, hunt, fish and prepare her game. She's most likely knowledgeable about the wilderness and knows what to do any any situation from frost bite to bear encounters.

Put someone like Kim Kardashiian up there in the wilderness and have her do the same things and I'd say it was completely staged. Showing Palin, at home, doing the things that she normally does in her private life and I'd say it's done in a way they can film it.
