Someone PLEASE answer me this (since I've asked it so many God-damned times and no one can even address it I just assume it's the "magic question" of all eternity):
At this point, when the tubes are obviously worth MILLIONS OF DOLLARS - why do they not simply remove ALL (and I mean ALL) of the "user-submitted" (stolen) content? There's enough big programs out there to populate a tube and then some. Problem solved, no? Then the memories of scraped and stolen content that built their legacies can fade over time, or whatever. What the fuck does 'brazzers' even mean, anyway? Is that a Canadian slang for fucking a moose?

most of the big tubes are coming from a file sharing background and not a porn/adult side and probably have never sold a porn membership ever. they deal in traffic, not subscriptions. |

That actually disappointed me because as I make it clear I think content is King and I expected them to have raised the bar on production. Did you read my comments on the scene I reviewed? The basic mistakes made in that scene are repeated over and over. If they seriously did raise the bar and produce less quantity and more quality they would have a lot more members. Adding 3 more scenes that are average and little to differentiate between the other 3,000 isn't good business management. |

Paul, many of the things you call "mistakes" in your review, are essential to our members and the reason they like us.
For example the fact that the intro is long... they love that. It makes it all more real. The fact that camera is not perfect all the time, is great too... again it makes it more real. You might want to consider that tastes are different online today than they were in your time. And that not everyone has your tastes... Everyone here is disagreeing with you, and you just do not care... talk about stubborn old man ![]() Paul, our content delivers what our users want, or we would not have so many users. Are there users that do not like our content? Of course. Is the content only good for online? No its not. We are top 10 in sales on DVD too. So we really can't be all that bad as you make us look...

It's in their nature to be hands on, to want to get involved and to fill their day with everything they possible can. They had the drive, ambition and skills to get to that position. The last thing they would do is delegate to 2 people and troll on GFY. They retire and go fishing or do jigsaws ![]() |

Ahhhhhh! Makes perfect sense now. When is the last time you actually shot a scene? Like I have been sayen, its about "Today" and "Now". I live in it and so does Brazzers. As for Brazzers quality sucking... Really? Come on dude! It's like saying Ex-Girlfriend content sux because its lit badly or has camera shake.(style) Paul your opinions are obviously based on if you had a bad day with your crossword puzzles. Brazzers size and the fact that they are expanding daily in an economy that is in the shitter says it all. I do not need to see one damn Bazzers scene to know they are doing something right with their content style and quality. OHH, good luck with that puzzle of yours, i got to head to set and shoot a scene in the "today" and "now". (not 20 years ago) ![]()

I think what Paul is saying is that the statement was made that Brazzers has the best content on the web.
Paul is saying that the shooting isn't done all that great and the sex ain't the best. But as has been pointed out...that isn't always the key to making money. So what SHOULD be said is that Brazzers has done a great overall job over the years of being the "best" big tit program for generic multiple girl paysites. Sorta the exact thing that piracy has put a hurtin' on (ironic) As a guy who loves big tits...I definitely think Brazzers sites are the bomb. Do I think they are technically shot at the level that Paul is speaking of? Hell no. To shoot that way you're gonna need a multi-camera shoot and editing that is just not worth it to shoot these days (and I honestly don't think that many of the shooters in porn valley these days have ever had the experience of shooting a multi-cam shoot). Brazzers doesn't do it. And yeah, I've been on set and watched Brett Brando work. He shot the first scenes that Claudia-Marie ever did. I used it as a learning experience because it had been 5 years since I had shot anything & I wanted to get up to speed. He does a good job. Especially since he was shooting 5 scenes a day, 5 days a week for Naughty America back then. He had to basically "write" the scripts, shoot the whole thing with one camera, run the whole show...which is the way it's done these days. And I learned from being there. Do I think that IF Brett Brando were given a single project to do with Brazzers to create a "feature" film done "right" the way Paul is talking about that he has those skills? I don't know. But he's damn good and talented at doing what he does for sure. One thing I've always done is I try to get on the set of other people's shoots anytime I can talk them into allowing me. I love learning, and you can always learn something by watching someone else work. |

Oh, and by the way...just to further what I was saying....
Claudia-Marie shot an episode a couple of months ago for a reality show on Showtime that is coming up this year. She basically hires a male escort and got the hell fucked out of her in the episode she's in. Those guys had 3 cameramen (big shouldermount cams), and two stationary cams on tripods, and the entire room was mic'ed up. I can't even tell you how many people were there in the crew. It was more than 20. That's the kind of thing that Paul is talking about (on the technical side), and it's just not something that's profitable at this point to do. And for stuff like I shoot, it's not even remotely necessary. But I do understand what he's saying. |

regardless of opinions, in a business where you have to work more to make less to be in the 'now', its only a matter of time before its not viable at all.

I'm going to hazzard a guess and say that brazzers/ porn hub was making 10 million a month, profit. By now it could be and most likely is more. Don't ask me how I know.. I just know. :::clapping hands::: impressive - but I wonder what they could do without the stolen content in the mix.. would it still be impressive? probably. Would it still be enough? most likely.. it's a shame that this can't be a win win for everyone, there should be enough horny people with cash to go around.. right?
on a side note: I've also heard that they're great guys, I haven't met them personally but if you're reading this, brazzers guys - you make a very good impression on NON adult industry professionals. ![]() |

I just want to thank you for bringing Will76 and Paul Markham together on something.
Unban Will btw, I want to call him out on his hypocrisy some more.

I happen to be someone who isn't down with lying, stealing, cheating, breaking agreements, breaking promises etc.. but I've unfortunately encountered more than my fair share of people like that both in my life and in this business. I stay to myself, don't associate with a large group of people but still... I was part of the ibill fiasco which caused plenty of drama, for which I'm still paying.. and for which I did not deserve. A lot of us work hard, we don't have a staff, we don't have big budgets and we're just trying to do the best we can with what we have and it's a shame when others, big companies and small, feel ok about infringing upon what I think is a right - work hard, see rewards - and yes, it totally sucks when you work hard to brand something, or someone - and then everyone else who didn't do the hard work profits from that - but it's life. So you work harder, and you think outside the box and you come up with new strategies - it's what pushes us to be creative and yes, it's a shame that we can't all just be honest and treat eachother respectfully and maintain an honorable stance with which to approach this whole work/earn a living/win thing. I often question why I'm in this business - and still hope that working hard, being honest, keeping my agreements and promises and playing fair will work out.. I guess we'll see... |
