Sounds about right.

I did it off and for 3 years(about every 2 weeks on a Sat.). It helped me deal with some of my serious childhood issues that resurfaced when i was 30. Was some of the best times of my life. I have zero regrets and zero issues from the use.

But like anything, you will find the people that will seriously abuse it and will always fall on the negative side of the drug studies.

Have not touched it in the last 5 years.

I used to do it every weekend back in 96 / 97

It used to be pure(er) then. Would do 2, max 3 during the entire night, and have a great time. No issues at all...

Then, a lot of fake shit came onto the scene and people were doing like 10 / 15 pills at a time, just to get a hit... Needless to say these same people started getting ill...

I remember back a couple of decades when they first started reporting on "X" in the news. It was being given to older people in their final years to keep them from being depressed.

I can remember Dan Rather on the CBS evening news talking about some study being done in Colorado at the time.

I did some in the late 1980's...the "real" stuff. But what I really like is blotter acid. So being accustomed to doing that and still walking onstage with my band and playing 5 45 minute sets a night...the X seemed pretty lame and a waste of money to me.

Good blotter was $4 a hit. I'd cut that one little piece of paper into 4 tiny pieces of paper and do a quarter hit a night. Felt GREAT for 8 hours straight. Lots of energy, thought process through the roof, hand to eye coordination increased, and not enough in me to get me loopy. It was the perfect combination for singing and playing guitar in a band.

The X? Just kinda lame and overpriced.

And a couple of clubs I played at during the 90's would have "Rave Nights". We would finish playing at 3 a.m. Then the club would lock up all the liquor. Then thousands of teenagers would come in and pay a big ass cover charge.

Within about an hour they would all be lying on the floor rubbing each others shoulders listening to Rave DJ's for the next 6 hours or so.

The cops did security and told me that they loved having the kids on X because they were so mellow and there was never any problems.

Don't know why they call those events a "Rave". They should call it a "Sleep Over" lol

Enjoyed it in the late 80's, early 90's.

Good gear back then - limitless energy with mild trips.

Many hours hilarity watching some guy conversing with the cigarette machine (there always was one) and dancing your nuts off.

Gear went crap in the mid nineties - monged out people do not make the best raves

As for now. I havent tried it in over 10 years and wouldnt suspect the quality has reverted.

For the most part X is a little sketchy in general because most of the shit out there today was cooked up in somebodies bathtub somewhere with all kinds of random shit, if you can get it from a trustworthy / reputable source it can definitely be a good time.

Important things to remember when taking X:
1. Don't drink too much water, you need to stay hydrated but you can easily drink too much.
2. Don't drink booze with it.
3. DO NOT do cocaine with it, cocaine and mdma mixed in the right amounts creates a neuro toxin
Infact, if you insist on doing something else with it, just smoke a blunt or something, your alot safer that way.
4. Get and chew winterfresh or similiar gum, your jaw, taste buds, and buzz will thank you later.
5. Don't have anything too intensive planned for the next morning, you'll probably be dragging ass
6. If you don't have anything planned the next morning and wanna try to get a little of the buzz back, drink some OJ. something with OJ brings back the buzz for alot of people

As far as what it's cut with, it's most commonly cut with ether, meth, or heroin, which can usually screw you if you have to take a piss test for some reason.

Also, dunno that anyone i know that has taken it has ever not been able to get it up. I've heard stories of people fucking around / fucking for anywhere between like 4 and 12 hours pretty much straight.

The grinding isn't bad. MDMA doesn't cause grinding, its actually the meth they often cut the pills with that does that. You can get it up but it kinda feels rubbery and wierd.

This. If you're in the US the chance that you are actually getting pure MDMA is pretty slim. Most rolls are made god knows where by god knows who with god knows what in it.

I have heard if you can get your hands on the real thing it's an enjoyable experience, but in my neck of the woods I've seen too many kids burned up on bad shit to mess w/ it.

Not quite. They are chemically related - ecstasy is MDMA - and the letters mean methylene dioxy meth amphetamine.

So, it is an amphetamine, but the addition of the methylene dioxy group adds a bunch of effects not experienced with the other amphetamines.

It's less common than people here are saying to get adulterated MDMA - but it's not impossible. Basically, you have to be sure the people you are getting it from are experienced, and get their assurance that it's good quality.

Generally, there are relatively few dangers from good mdma. Most of the negative sides effects come when people keep trying to take enough of it to get an effect day after day. Tolerance build up EXTREMELY fast, so to get the same effect on day two, you have to take 3 times as much - and on day 3, 6 times as much. At that level you start to get some toxicity.

If you take it once, then wait a week before taking it again, bad side effects are rare.

However, one should always be careful with all drugs, especially amphetamines.

The feeling of loss when you start to come down can be a bit of a bummer.

To reduce this I liked to take it in pulses - take about 150-200 mg, then an hour and a half later, just as you are staring to rush hard, take another 75-100 mg.

This smooths out the comedown a lot. I wouldn't do it any other way if I could avoid it.

You coast down, rather than falling down.

i went tripping in my twens when E was new ... yes, it is a funny ride if you are willing to let go ... but over the night you will tend to pop in more and after the fifth (depending on the quality) or so you will start chewing altho yer not eating anything ... you will kinda try to grind yer teeth - you loose control over the jaws :/ and the hangover is usually really bad coz ya dont get drunk at all ... blunts are not even a bit licking on E ... bottomline: if you have a solid mind, try it - but DONT do it daily and not for too long ... best wud be maybe twice a year - not more

I've tried it once, my friends had done it a few times already and finally pressured me into it, they claimed the shit they get was 'really good pure shit' blah blah, who knows.

Popped 1 and I was having a good time, smoked a few blunts also, only thing I hated was that I was being overly cautious and kept a big 64oz cup of water that I sipped constantly thinking I was going to overheat or something lol. It didn't help that the a/c was broke in the persons house we were at and this is in Florida humidity.

The experience was pleasant but I could hardly goto sleep and the entire next day I had the worst migraine I've ever experienced in my life. I've never had a migraine only some headaches or whatever but that was a fucking migraine for sure. I figured it was just cut with some bad shit, but everyone else was fine. Never again.

You may have drunk too much water - impossible to say from what you just wrote, but one of the dangers is excessive hydration (because of the panic stories spread by the media about dehydration) causing electrolyte dilution in the cells.

There's a ruckus about this subject happening in california - somebody is passing out a card at parties describing the dangers of mdma, and excessive hydration is on the list. Of course the rightwing is all "IT'S WRONG TO GIVE KIDS ANY MESSAGE BUT DRUGS ARE BAD M'KAY!"

I mention it tho because the card correctly identifies excessive hydration as undesireable. Don't drink a gallon of water. Drink some water.

Or you may be part of the percentage of people that reacts badly to amphetamines.

Also, dunno that anyone i know that has taken it has ever not been able to get it up. To reduce this I liked to take it in pulses - take about 150-200 mg, then an hour and a half later, just as you are staring to rush hard, take another 75-100 mg. This smooths out the comedown a lot. I wouldn't do it any other way if I could avoid it. You coast down, rather than falling down.

It didn't help that the a/c was broke in the persons house we were at and this is in Florida humidity. The experience was pleasant but I could hardly goto sleep and the entire next day I had the worst migraine I've ever experienced in my life.
