this is fucking insane awesome technology! i've been intermittently following this since the 1st launch a year ago. it's basically an orbiting spy plane. it can be maneuvered quickly to get it to the spot it needs to be to intel.
it is a mini space shuttle, it takes off like a rocket and lands like a plane, can stay in space for 9 months at a time. |

It's currently in orbit and can be seen with the naked eye from some locations and times.
go here and enter your zip code - http://www.spaceweather.com/flybys/index.php it will give you the flyby times for the X-37B, the hubble space telescope and whatever else is going to be visible the next cpl days from your spot on earth. |

I love this piece of technology, but would like to know what it is doing in space, if it is doing something with satelites or if this itself has some monitoring capabilities...who knows.
