Putting this in court is a total waste of time. $38k does not make any sense to go in court! Mark from GTS can be called scammer on what he did! He likes the project and he did not pay! What do you called in that kind of attitude isn't it scammer?

I even done a project with Php100k above from the people I work in the office for 4 months with no salary at all times! I even not sue them as its a total waste of time! Maybe one thing to do is to ruin his reputation in some other ways! LOL

That was a very interesting conversation. They said that because I am not a national (meaning, I live in the U.S.), the standard statute of limitations does not apply to me. I am afforded a five year period in which to file a claim. That means I'm still in the time frame. They're sending me a packet to fill out and send back. In most cases, they said the maximum they can recover at one time is $10,000, but they asked me to file each pay period's claim separately, and they'll open one case for each one.

Fantastic -- thanks for the link! There really isn't any way to defend against it, and since Mark has never denied the debt, it should go a long way toward showing the basis for owing it.


I agree, which is part of the reason why I never sued him. The other, of course, being that he kept promising to pay, and I kept falling for his lies.

I believe the ICQ conversation summed up Mark's thoughts, which were that he wasn't going to pay me now that I've made a thread, after four years of not making one. Oh, and he was going to continue being a sleaze by claiming the software had some sort of problem, when three ex-employees have already said it didn't have any issues and was what they wanted.

I'm personally fine with any of the options on that list, including the charity. I lowered the dollar amount to $10,000 to be reasonable. I'm all about compromise and trying to do the right thing. I'm not rich by ANY means, by the way. Anyone who suggests otherwise is trying to push an agenda.


Well, HE called me failed. My record is 6-3, but I will admit that those three losses have come very close to each other. I'm slowing down in my old age (I'm 32, LOL), which probably accounts for at least two of those losses. The latest loss (which was for the heavyweight championship) put me in the hospital because I wanted to go all "karate kid" on the guy instead of just fucking punching him in the face.

Understanding why this doesn't apply would require that you read the thread. Cliff notes aren't my specialty, but I'll try: got strung along with promises to pay until the statute expires, and this amount isn't worth investing the court costs in.

I have contacted the local government, though, and they said that this isn't the first complaint, and they're very excited to help out. We'll see how that goes. I don't put much faith in the government of any area, but they may well prove me wrong.

I doubt they'll help you with the bonus situation, they might try but in the end I think that's that's contract issue (2 year limit for court) and not wages - something I kinda think Mark might win on a technicality in court, although you probably deserve it, I'm betting you loose there, but the wages I'd say you have about a very good chance of getting. Our governments here go ape shit over wages if Mark deducted taxes and such from your payments as an employee or claimed you in any way as an employee and not as a contractor. Go for it, they usually don't require you to get a lawyer either, they represent you so it's no cost to you to ask and look into it.

I think a lot of people will throw up in their mouths reading that ... and honestly, I don't see any reason to doubt what you're saying, especially with the ICQ logs, the continuity, and knowing how Mark operates. I'd imagine every ex-employee would know exactly what happened there ... and I'd be surprised if the thread wasn't brought up every time someone asked about GTS or Mark in the future.
