some mainstream affiliate programs/networks require phone calls to verify you are who you say you are. instant approval or waiting a day or two isnt a big deal. a bit annoying when you found a new site to promote but hardly end of the world. if itll convert its worth waiting a few days for....

Owner of IslandDollars is cool as fuck. Had beers with him in real life. If you love great conversions and rebills like a crazy mofo, then I think you should get pass the manual approval episode. Is only a smart thing to do. Don't worry about the lost of 10000 of sales with your "guestimation".

Is like a small groceries store wanting to sell Coca Cola and got annoyed when asked to provide sales projection. I think Coca Cola can say GFY and sell Cock Cola as you wish.

But in this context, the owners of Island Dollars has been really cool and not making any comments. I think for the asian ladyboy niche, they some how are at the status of Coca Cola but still doesn't act like a big shot.

Kudos to Island Dollars. This is the reason why they are successful! Not only have great contents but really savvy in handling their programs.

Franck, I can totally agree with you, I HATE waiting to get approved from sponsors, even though some say will be approved within 24hrs, sometimes they never approve/deny you and you left to wait for weeks, forever, etc

But, this certain situation I really think you'll be the one to lose out, IslandDollars program owner will bend over backwards for affiliates, with payments, with promo materials, with anything. Sure there are sites you'll promote to take the place of IslandD, but in the long run

Man, as a long time fellow affiliate, and friend to you man, this 1 situation you should really rethink your decision, you'll be the one to benefit aswell

Just wanted to share my experience promoting them with you. Isn't that the purpose of a webmaster board? If you still refuse to, nobody can do anything, is your choice.

If you still think a program needs to have automatic approvals and none taking your advice, go make a program like that. Then come back and make a thread again about your program. I will sure to bump it and promote it if the contents are awesome. Am here to make money, petty disagreements and slow approval won't deter me.

Ever considered that an affiliate program can get more than 1 affiliate signups on a day, so it's not just to avoid '1 scammer', leaving your program open for everyone to register exposes a risk. What if the owner is sick for a few days or traveling.

Affiliate programs have very good reasons to not auto-approve accounts. And if you fail to understand that, you are just shortsighted.

They might lose some affiliates like you that are impatient, but it can safe their business in the long term, which is way more valuable than the signups they might lose on.

And I am sure most affiliate programs do more due diligence than just seeing if the domain exists. Typing some (big) website as the URL that you don't own will not work, the program owners are not that stupid.

DF why don't you email a sponsor prior to signing up with them, laying down the rules before you will sign up. Or just sit there and wait for them to come ask you nicely?

And if they convert better than one of your existing sponsors, you're losing money. I guess you were actively looking to add another sponsor or replace one. As you were signing up and so upset you had to wait. So your existing list of sponsors needs one more. Maybe you lost by not waiting a day and ended up with a sponsor who isn't so good. Not very smart of you either. Still for you it's normal.

Reasons why a sponsor wouldn't want some loud mouth idiot to join them who might come straight to GFY if they don't run their business exactly as he pleases? List of things he might not like.

Size of banners
Color of banners
Number of banners
Length of tube videos
Composition of tube video
Not enough free stuff
Not enough of anything he chooses.
Having to wait a week to get paid
Minimum of $50 payout.
Waiting 20 minutes before the most knowledgeable of reps appears at his door.
Not getting a free hooker at shows.
Not getting his ass kissed.
Not having the latest version of NATS.
Having the latest version of NATS
Sponsor not there to apply his piles cream
Not having 200% payout Sundays.
Him having a bad day.
