Thats a hard one - I always think not too many then I look at how some of the blogs on sensualwriter.com for example rank and I wonder....

More than 3000 and counting.
between 30K and 50K daily Google traffic, growing each month as more webmasters jump in or open new blogs. Of course I host those, but they are administered by each webmaster, and each of them benefit from his own traffic and sales. |

I created a mini-network a month ago with 1 domain...have 5 subdomain blogs under it and google is actually treating it pretty well, each subdomain is getting about the same amount of traffic as if it was a regular .com domain.
