Do you buy hardlinks ever? When is it too many?

Do you ever buy hardlinks and SEO services? When is it time to start doing this? Is it ever too much? I have been pondering the idea to maybe throw a couple hundred out to see where it gets me but I'm afraid I will get delisted doing this. Anyone been successful doing so?

Successful yes with a slow build and coming from related sites or manual buying versus here's some money give me 1000 backlinks from shit sites.

Also have owned 450-1000 .coms over the last 10 years and have put links in the footers or thrown a single pop-up as well from them. Not as targeted as usually my domains for sale don't all match exactly what I'm pushing at the moment so little less quality but okay with it since it's free traffic and I gain a slight alexa boost as well.

If I felt I had too many backlinks to my index page or the backlinks package was lower quality sites, then I would build subdomains that link to the index page...and get them backlinked instead.

delisted? you mean deindexed?

backlinks can not be too much. You can have as many you can but try for better quality backlinks ,relevant links and dont use the same anchor at all of them

One of our sites we bought a lot of 'quality' hardlinks for got hit hard after Google's last update. I think optimization based on 'quality' of out-going links with exact match anchor text is a dying method.

I've seen better results in 2012 using authoritative & relevant social media profiles linking back.

A handful of really quality links wins over any number of low quality (e.g. footer, "keyword anchor text") type links. If it isn't in the body text of an article on a relevant trusted site then don't bother.

or get those type of backlinks to your subdomains/inner pages directly and avoid dilluting your index page authority

Deeplinking is also good. Instead of somesite.com if they have archive pages link in there. somesite.com/niche.

You need to make your backlink profile as natural looking as possible. Having incoming links ONLY from top quality high PR sites doesn't make your backlink profile look natural. Links from lower quality, low PR sites help as well. Just avoid link farms/footer links.

Too much is never enough... But you really have to do your homework. Lots of homework. Use your brain. Investigate.

Agreed. I prefer to buy links rather than trade links. It just makes more sense.

You should see the rankings for some of my main keywords. Everyone with lots of backlinks (including me) got clobbered - sites with 50-250 backlinks are ruling, at least for some good keywords. It's crazy but true.

Where do you guys buy hardlinks? I have some foot fetish hardlinks for sale but I am not sure where to find buyers. No one really goes to Buy&Sell subforum anymore.

It is indeed true that it almost doesn't matter what i am looking for, the following sites have ~13-15 of the top 20 positions: youporn, redtube, xhamster, xvideos, pornhub, youjizz, keezmovies, etc...

Buying backlinks has its risks, but its the same with trading. Linkspun is good, but its a royal pain in the ass to check every single site you (plan to) trade with..

Getting back links to your sub pages [aka deep linking] is a very good method, I always recommend this solution over pushing the main page to its limits.

What I have to admit is that the big tubes are not just buying up lots of links, but they ALL do it in a smart way.. Deep linking at its best.. And they don't really negotiate on the price

I think people go the wrong path when they are buying up hundreds or thousands of link in a short time. Google is not stupid and if a site is getting a few dozen links per month via trades or just from real non-paid backlinks for a long time, than hundreds for some week than back to slow build: it has risks to say at least.

Lots of webmasters build blogs on the embeds of the big tubes. This way people are giving very good quality back links for 'free hosting' .. And I think this plus buying up links in massive quantities led to these Google SERPs.

From the aspect of a surfer I don't think this is plain wrong: tubes offer good content generally ad people love this new way of content delivery. The problem is not that youporn.com has good positions but that they provide illegal content and nowadays sponsors Do Let them use their content for a banner/text link back, but on the same video page 70-80% of the ads have nothing to do with the source content..

We are working a Lot on our Legal Tubes [powered by MechBunny ] and it is possible to get good SE traffic and good ranks, but you need to be smart and lucky at the same time, and of course work hard and keep your eye open 24/7/365

Just getting as many links as possible without using your brain is the best way to get your site shit canned.
