One of the primary reasons we have the net is that it was meant to be a 'nuclear' proof way of keeping communications open. The 'cloud' doesn't look that great either.... |

I think that the public Internet (not the arpanet) original goal was to provide unlimited access to information to the world as a whole without the intrusion of censorship or government intervention.
That dream has been lost IMHO and the information super highway has been significantly reduced to the commercial super highway |
