Verizon "Ice Cream Sandwich" Droid RAZR Maxx Update, FINALLY !!!

Hell yeah !! Downloading it now So if you have a Droid Razr and are with Verizon, you should see if you can update. I'm up in Michigan and I can here, I'm not sure if they roll it out everywhere or just select areas.

I was thinking about getting the Verizon Razor Maxx as a replacement for my Incredible 2.

I was reading online that flash isn't going to be supported on that new Jelly Bean Droid OS.

Cool...I can't wait 'til they push it to us here in Vegas.

That last update of the old Android fucked my Razr Maxx up and made it slow and the camera is all screwed up too.

I was going to switch to iPhone until I saw what Jelly Bean now offers. Of course I will get it and the iPhone 5 will come out and I will spend a year or two wondering if I made the wrong choice.

An already outdated OS and probably more bloat from Verizon.

The best feature of Android is that you can flash a number of different variations of the Android OS, because the carriers are so fucking slow in releasing updates.

Anyone who's not doing this and getting excited about an update that should have happened about 6 months ago needs their head checked.

I just got my Razr Maxxx a couple of months ago. I had my Droid X rooted. But I haven't had the time or inclination to root the Razr because it ran so fast and so good when I first got it...and then they updated it a few weeks ago and screwed it all up.

But I've been way too busy to sit down and fuck with rooting it all over again. So I'm doomed to wait for Verizon's slow ass to get around to giving Ice Cream to us.

Fuck! Why are they doing that I wonder? What the hell...

Since Apple won't let people see flash...having flash on Android was a big selling point.

They're making it so easy to do at this point it's crazy not to. Seriously, they've already got Jelly Bean roms for some of the phones. My 2 year old Epic 4G loaded up very alpha version of a 4.1 port this morning. Sprint stopped updating this phone a year ago now. Thanks to the XDA developers I really have no need to buy a new phone. I am having a hard time giving up my physical keyboard.

All that said, ROOT your phone and install a custom ROM of some sort. Even CyanogenMod and it's offshoots will give you all the features the carriers strip out of the phone.

They're forcing people to use HTML5 versions of their sites and not flash. This is easier now that most people have adopted this because of Apple's insistance on using it.

I am loving the new interface, it's a bit more Slick I love the blue scheme

I know, I know, candyflip is right, it's already outdated, HOWEVER, what was on the phone before was even more outdated, so this is a step up

In the case of 90% of the devices, it's pretty much plug in your phone, run a script and you're good to go.

Everything needed to do your phone is in this forum.
