Question about setting up a video machine

Machine comes with 10 GB of RAM. Will be running Sony Vegas Pro 11.0.

Will I see improvement by upgrading to 16 GB of RAM?

This is the video card: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o03_s00_i02

You'd see more of an improvement putting the money towards the processor, if there is still room to upgrade there.

probably write out all the specs in one post, would be easier to follow...
but sounds like you built a solid machine...

what drives did you pick?

the most important thing for vegas 11 is a good video card yours qualifies....with that card you can encode h.264 MASSIVELY faster than you could with an 8 core processor....10GB ram is plenty
