Yes, its even higher than the 27" Apple thunderbolt monitor.

But its not as high as the Retina display screens will be, but those arent on the market yet.

I used a retinal display that shot the light directly onto my retina at Siggraph several years ago and the results were indeed awesome. I couldn't believe the clarity and color. I was dissapointed when the technology never came to market. I was ready to dump my crappy monitors.

You might check out the new Sony 84" 4K TV that will be selling for $20K on release. (3,840 x 2,160)

I'm mainly looking for desktop space. I'm not really concerned about how pretty everything looks. So far the highest I'm finding is something like 2600x1500.
