Repubs always take a lead, as the big D states report late.

Same reason that surveys or studies that use 1,000 people can be broadened to more or less envelop all people: statistics.

Not to say stuff can't change - I used to think that was poor to do too, but the last couple elections I've paid attention to where they called states with that little, it didn't really get any closer as more #s were reported.

They must be results, if they were predictions they would include more decided states that are 100% clear. However I see some of these states with "results" showing 0 voters. So I am confused why these states that show 0 voters are included in the results. I mean most of the marked states has numbers but couple of them has zeros, however they are included as a "result" and has either blue or red color.

Wild guess:
It could still be that they give less electorial votes than would be normal proportion.
Rough example:
a state 5 million people
b state 10 million people

a state x electorial votes, state b less than 2x electrial votes. So voting power of state b is reduced compared to what it would have with popular voting system.

Yeah I like it because it refreshes every two minutes with actual numbers... so I am not taking the word of a pundit. Granted the page does call some states before they even report... but if those states voted Romney to begin with then Obama would have zero chance.

Obama likely has Florida. Broward and Miami-Dade and blue counties and they are still very behind on reporting. Most of the red counties are mostly reported but have low population counts.

Obama is likely taking Tampa, Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade... in other words, where the population is.
