:mad Any of you use a Belkin router?

Bought a N150 a little over a month ago. Stopped working 3 days later so I returned it and picked up a Belkin N300 in hopes it would last a little longer.

Out of no where tonight, I lose internet and it goes to local only. Orange light is on. I've tried resetting it to factory settings, unplugged and plugged and modem and routers back in...nothing is working.

Any ideas? Should I just return it and pick a different brand? I don't need a fancy expensive router. Had a linksys that lasted 5+ years without a hitch.

yes,
phone belkin up, if you look on the net you will find all of the belkin phone numbers listed by country.

all belkin products have a lifetime warranty.
belkin are usually very good with thinks like that.

i once bought a belkin product second hand, and the person i bought it off didnt tell me it had no ac adaptor - so i phoned belkin - asked them what to do - they said dont worry we'll send you another ac adaptor for free (!) (and they arent cheap)

We run a Cisco E2000 here - it's been reliable the past few years.

Ran belkin for 4 years. Finally just up and died.
I went with a Netgear N600
I had no idea my internet was as slow as it was.
The new router really opened it up and it's sooo much nicer now.

Yeah, I'm definitely not calling them. Spent at least 45 minutes last time with some woman from India who I could barely hear, much less understand. She kept telling me to plug my desktop into the router after I told her it was impossible since my desktop was 25+ feet away from my router.

That was the main reason for be to upgrade. Got an upgraded internet package and had to buy a new modem and router to achieve those speeds. Been nothing but a pain in the ass so far.

I did for awhile. Countless problems. Then I bought linksys again and not a single issue.

This thing just decided to randomly start working again. What a pain.

Maybe I will go back to Linksys.

Do you have your box plugged into a power strip to mitigate power surges?

Reverse issue with me, I've gone thru 3 Linksys boxes in the past 5 - 6 years. Now I have a Belkin N300 which supposedly features "better WifFi performance" and "self-healing" (will resolve most network issues on its own). So far, so good.

I have a D-Link and a LOVE IT !!! I'd never go back to Cisco, had bad luck with 2 of their routers.

Yes, it's plugged into a surge protector.

The "self healing" is a joke to say the least. You set it up to restart itself once a night. I still have to restart mine manually quite often.
