I'm a huge racing fan, but i hadn't got round to watching the Senna Documentary movie untill last night. I wanted to see if for ages but never really seem to have time to sit and watch movies.

You ever watched something that you knew what was gonna happen but didn't want it to? That was how i felt last night watching this.

Even my girlfriend who has no interest in motor racing at all was hooked by the end and shed a tear when it showed the footage of the incident in Italy. When it shows you the on-board camera of his final lap, you want to look away because you know that this is it.

I only really started taking an interest in F1 around the time when Senna's career and life would sadly end, so i never knew the extent of his huge rivaly with his then team mate Alain Prost, or how much he doubted the ability and safety of his car when he moved to Williams.

A very moving documentary and one worth watching if you are a fan of racing or not...

I was a huge F1 fan back in the day when Senna and Prost were racing for the mclaren racing team. Senna was awesome, in my opinion, the most talented F1 racer to date. He was my racing hero because he was aggressive, skilled, and a bit dirty as well.

I loved how he took out his own teammate Prost by crashing into him to prevent Prost from winning the championship from Senna.

He makes racers like Alonzo, Lewis and Vettel look like amateurs. If you saw Senna drive, you will know what I mean. The guy was fearless and super aggressive which as you saw in the documentry, was his downfall

I've followed F1 since prior to that awful day, and was watching it live...one of the worst things I can remember seeing happen live.
The documentary was very, very well done.

I watched that last race live too. I was in disbelief when I saw what happened.

Same here, I know nothing about F1 Racing, but they have a lot of documentary directors on the Ron and Fez show on SiriusXM so after hearing the interview I decided to watch it. It was beautifully shot and the end was absolutely heartbreaking. Fucking incredible documentary...

To be honest i think that's why i've been a huge Schumacher fan since i started watching F1 aswell. I loved how he did whatever it took to win. No matter who he upset or who didn't like him. He just wanted to win, and took risks that nobody else would take...

Agree with you. Schumacher is the closest thing to Senna since. He has alot of the same characteristics that I admired in Senna, they both did whatever it took to win, and Schumacher was also borderline dirty similar to Senna. But the new generation F1 racers just can't hold a candle to guys like Senna in terms of pure talent and skill.

People forget there was another death in qualifying the day before Senna died aswell...Horrific weekend for motorsport.

I watched the san marino gp live that day at first when the chopper showed him moving his head inside the F1 I thought that he was fine, I would have never thought that he would have died, what a shame, by far the greatest F1 driver ever, if he didn't have that accident him and Shumi would have split title after title.

Roland Ratzenberger. Senna was deeply upset by Roland's death and had put an Austrian flag in his firesuit to honor Ratzenberger. Rubens Barrichello was also seriously injured the day before Roland's fatal crash. It was a terrible weekend for motorsports.

Senna is a wonderful documentary. Like people have said in this thread earlier, a love of motor racing is not required to enjoy this film. I have recommended it to everyone I know, both fans of racing and those who are not. All parties who I have spoken with were deeply moved by the film.
