I see so many people sharing posts from companies thay say stuff like share this or like that and win whatever.
My guess is 90% is bullshit. Nobody is gonna find out anyway and the company got 50k likes for free.

I have a cousin who shares several of those a day and also shares those, "Like this picture and facebook companies will donate 20 cents per like to this cause." I tried to explain to her that those are all just scams, but she won't believe it.

I have a FB friend who is constantly doing comps, I asked her about it once and she said she does win things. It's pretty annoying though, most of her friends are compers too, so they basically just copy what each other does.

More likes = higher edgerank = more likelihood of being shown in news feed
