Dukeenergyprogress.com

I own the name of the largest utility company in the United States. Is there any way to legally make any revenue off of it ?

1) find out who's their lawfirm
2) try to buy some stock options from said lawfirm and/or dukeenerygprogress... They will receive a big cash settlement from you in the very near future, so their stock is about to rise pretty soon ;-)

No, really, if they trademarked their name, chances are very realistic they'll file a lawsuit against you to force you to give their name back for free...

At least, that's how the law in my country works... I would be supprised if the law in your country is/was any different

So my best bet is to just leave that one alone? Because I'm sure it's trademarked. I just couldn't believe they didn't register there own name in any extension, so I did for them. Anyway.

I would personally be very carefully... Especially with a bigger company. They usually just pay a monthly fee to a lawfirm no mather how many cases they open (at least, that's how it works over here)...

If you search google, you can find hundreds of storys, for example Mr Nissan was sued for 10 million dollars by nissan (the car-brand), eventough he DID register his "nissan" company years before being sued http://www.nissan.com/Digest/The_Story.php .. They did lose tough, but just to show that big companys will sue you over domain names... This dude was just lucky that he registered his company years before, and his name really was "nissan"... Something you cannot use on selling this domainname...

The only thing you could do to make some cash, is contact them directly and offer to make them a cool website for a reasonable price... But even this idear might backfire.

1. Do a gay porn paysite that depicts large burly coal miners getting gangfucked by wall-street type dudes.

2. Call it a parody.

3. Something here

4. Fame and fortune

The largest utility company in the country is also going to have one of the largest legal teams in the country…
