Anyone accepting bitcons for subscriptions?

Is anyone accepting bitcoins for subscriptions?

If so, which bitcoin company are you using? I noticed overstock.com started accepting bitcoins, so why not adult?

The biggest issue I'm thinking is that there are so many different bitcoin storages/companies, and it seems the customer would have to not only have bitcoins, but they would also need to use the same bitcoin company.

For example, a customer has bitcoins at https://coin.mx/ or https://www.mtgox.com
However, if the website uses https://bitpay.com/ to process bitcoin payments, then how would it work?

Not true actually, some of them charge a pretty hefty fee to do withdrawls, its worth shopping around for wallets, especially online ones.

Thanks. I just signed up.

I'd like to verify: What is a BitCoin worth in USD?

The Coinbase buy/sell page (I can't post it in this msg, I'm too new) it says a BTC is ~$813USD (?!?)

Am I reading this, so that if I want to buy a DVD on a site for $10, that would be .0124 BTC?

How are webmasters of digital or tangible goods sites doing the math on their sites?

The sign up process was incredibly smooth! Looks great!

At Coinbase, it displays the current buy price. You can buy in incremental values and the site functions as a online wallet. And when you purchase something it is for a fraction of whatever Bitcoin value you are holding. I'm in the process of setting up Bitcoin purchases on my marketing site using Coinbase, they do all the calculations for you as the Bitcoin purchase will end up in your wallet with them. Coinbase is currently the company that is getting the venture capital investment money. So they are in the spotlight now.

The great thing about using Coinbase and Bitcoin is you can do it immediately. There is no mechant dance, business account, credit check crapola and no monthly fees or high risk whatever designed to chip away percentage wise at your cash before you've even made a sale.

Yes, we did get all set up. I would like to work with them for a few minutes on how to do the buy-now button. or, I might go with them for a single-item checkout page that they host. Will decide when they contact back.

I did write a PHP script to get the current currency exchange rates.

I liked how fast the sign up process went.

That's interesting. On other wallet sites, the USD->BTC is $813.

$988 is amazing.

Is the exchange trading market that unregulated, un-unified? That independent?

$980 means nothing at all. You can check the Bitcoin buy price at Coinbase or ZeroBlock.

Since I spend a lot of time in Europe, is there a Europe-based processor, that would do IBAN (the EU version of US ACH)?

I'm looking into bitstamp. They do have a more traditional verification process that I may not qualify under. I have legal Euro bank account, with a big name bank, but I'm not sure I fit bitstamp's process in the US.

That's not a bad apple it is the whole apple tree: bitinstant is was of the biggest exchanges, winklewoss invested in it, and its founder is VP of bitcoin foundation:

"Shrem, 24, chief executive officer of the exchange BitInstant.com, changed cash into bitcoins for Faiella, 52, who ran an underground bitcoin exchange through the username BTCKing on Silk Road's website. Shrem, in addition to knowing that Faiella's business was funneling money into Silk Road, also used Silk Road himself to buy drugs.

Authorities arrested Shrem on Sunday at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The tech investors Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss invested $1.5 million in BitInstant last year.

In addition to running BitInstant, Shrem is vice president of the main bitcoin-focused trade group, the Bitcoin Foundation."

Nothing at all. It is the most secure way as long as you secure your wallet with encryption and keep it off-line you are bullet proof. Lose the dat file, forget your encryption phrase, or lose your offline backup and money is gone not to be retrieved.

I notice the price varies wildly from day to day. $813 Sunday, to $765 Monday.

If I get set up for European and US wallets:

• I will quote the current price to customers.

• I will cash out immediately in times when the price is falling, and will hold a while when the price is rising.
