Paging mr Fris? Paging any wp guru I got a stupid question
I'm building a simple site for a client .... and it seems I've had more issues with this simple little site than any other site I've done....

ok


so say I got a page

lets call it welcome

I have 6 images on that page plus a gallery at the bottom

now I have image

images are laid out

1-2
3
4
5-6

so when they click on 1 it shows full size image normal wordpress way but also on bottom says 1 of 50 so it has that image plus the gallery...

problem is now it's showing a couple doubles on images 1 thru 6

I can't figure out how to get rid of that.. I've racked my brain all day... it seems if I delete an image from the page then add media it adds another image to the "# of 50"

so how can i get rid of...

hit me up on Skype ill give you links to see... it's gotta be something stupid and simple

and I'm down for the flaming for not being able to figure it out...

This reads like you are deleting the image from the page but not from the media library itself. When you add it for the second time, are you grabbing it from the library or uploading a fresh one that would place a duplicate image in your library and associate it with the same gallery?

Check your library for duplicates, delete the images in question from the page & the library itself.

hes using the built in gallery, if more than 1 image is in the gallery it will have pagination for 1 of x amount.

If he wants to modify that he will need to hook into the wordpress gallery shortcode.

what has be baffled is

so the gallery on the page is using the gallery short code

but the top 6 images are just stand alone images that I put on there with some text .... how come the 6 images are showing up with the gallery and how come the images I had in top6 are showing even though I replaced say 3 of them.. thats where I'm getting the double I think but why?

the shortcode includes ids of the ones you selected, you will need to remove the ids, goto visual mode and click on the gallery shortcode, you can remove them

where this problem is happening

when I click first image on the page it shows up and below it says 1 of 48 where the hell are these extra images coming from LOL

this is boggling my mind .. we've done about 80 WP sites no problem ... then this stupid simple one is giving us the most issues ever...

you sure you don't have duplicates loaded in to your media library?

I'm 99.99% sure ... for instance that map there is only 1 in the media gallery but it shows double?

am I not deleting them right?
