I've been dropping down the table every week now. By quite a few places each time.

Grr...

I just made some transfers due to injury, I think I have a strong team out this week so hoping for some big points. Falcao needs to start banging in the goals or he could find himself transferred out next week.

Good luck to all. The team with the most points this week will receive a $100 traffic coupon for Traffic Force to spend on testing our traffic. Winner has to contact me by Wednesday October 1st to get it arranged.

This is my first season where I've actually played properly, and I've learned 2 things:

1. wildcard != 1 free transfer in gameweek 2

2. Picking the right captain each week really pays off (or doesn't, in my case)

Game Week 6 Complete

A pretty low scoring week really. Costa is owned by such a large amount any points he does get are not a differential against other players. Rooney is now banned for being a dumb ass and blatantly kicking out at a player. Southampton seem to be going very well even after selling all their best players to Liverpool and Liverpool continue there bad start to the season after a thunderbolt of a goal in the last seconds by Jag's.

Ross has put up $100 of advertising spend which is very cool and the top points tally is Manfap on 56 points so tomorrow is the deadline to claim your prize

Yeah the Monday night game (Begovic 7pts) got you there to beat 100%lessbiting who finished 3 points behind on 53. All you need to do now is keep those green arrows week on week as 35th place is long way off the top

Yep I've had 2 bad weeks (25 points) I need to have a think re strikers, and consider the wildcard.

After game week 7 is the international break so IMO i wouldn't use that wild card till after GW7 incase of injuries etc while the players or on international duty. Strikers are not so easy right now as Costa seems to be a must have but everyone has him so doesn't allow you to make gains with him. Aguero seems to not be totally match fit as he is the best striker in the EPL when he is but the last weeks his points have been low for 12+ million. Southampton's Pele looks like an interesting option, Dzeko grabbed two last week but will he retain his place week in week out with Jovetic coming back. Welbeck just seems to be same old same old and missing chances but in the Arsenal team anything can happen if he clicks and gets it right. With Rooney out Falcao could get a better run at things and RVP will set you back a fair few $'s as well.

For me apart from Costa its too early to look at the Forwards scoring table and say he is a good choice i would recommend playing the fixtures in front of you and not jumping on bandwagons from games that have passed

Game Week 7 Complete

Pretty good scoring week at the top of the league. While everyone was watching the Costa/Aguero captain pick this GW Siggy and ADM cappers got the best results out of the obvious captain choices.

International break is here with the next GW on the 18th

I think I need to stop giving you tips on players, you just jumped about 15 places this week haha.

Aguero was dishing out the points this week, 4 goals and it easily could have been 6 or 7 for him on Saturday, he was absolutely on fire. City are starting to come good and it's largely to do with him. Disappointed Costa is injured, it might be time to have a serious think about him and his injury proneness.

Ashley is back on top for now but it's a long season still to play

Ouch for now. I was surprised Costa didn't play. Hoping to get some vice captain pts for ADM tonight! Well done on Aguero Ashley. I was seriously considering dropping Costa, but I pussed out...lol.

I was the exact same Paul, I even had him out of my team and was reworking it on Friday to find a way to bring Aguero in but last minute I cancelled the changes. Costa had a 75% chance of playing, it was the same earlier in the season when he scored 3 against Everton so I stuck with him.

Game week 8 complete!

I reduced the list to the top 20 to save some scrolling time on the thread. What a high scoring week the dream team max score without a captain was 157! Aguero alone destroyed Spurs and Sunderland just bottled it completely. Tadic got an epic haul of points which only beat Aguero due to him missing a pen.

Costa is he isn't he injured seemed to have got us all. Is he just to good to risk leaving out just incase he plays? How many transfers will you have to make to get Agureo in your team?

Very tight at the top of the Traffic Force league but remember there is still 30 game weeks to go

Costa this week was an obvious choice really guys don't sell don't bench and don't cap

I was expecting more from United from ADM but in true fashion the United roller coaster keeps on going. United have some tough games coming up now so it's going to be very interesting how they bounce back from another bad performance like last night!

when you look at most teams people without Agureo got equal or more points that us Agureo cappers just due to Southampton's Tadic and Pella and also Baines got a pretty large haul of points as well!

Game Week 9 complete.

Seems that the top captained players all had a bad GW. Costa still didn't play and i see so many held on to him Pelle of Southampton could have had a bag full he hit the post a couple of times... am glad he didn't score lot's as i had to go with the logical choice of Agureo who got a very measly 2 points after the defeat to WestHam.

The league is starting show more gaps, who will you dump this week? Will Costa finally get back in the team? This Sunday we have a epic Manchester derby to look forward too will it be a goal fest of previous seasons and United showed finally they have some spirt in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea. Mour's tactics bite him on the ass as he went to shut up shop for a 0-1 win that clearly back fired.

Bring on game week 10

Bye bye Mario !!

Kept him for way too long now. Figured the week i drop him he'd score a couple, but that's not happened so time to go.

What's the odds he scores 3 this weekend...

It wouldn't surprise me 1 bit actually...lol. He came close to turning around his season w/ that last second reflect save by the GK.

if Balo scores 3 ill quit my team! he got some momentum tonight but playing him against a Swans team without Siggy. Up top on his own is never going to work in EPL. When Stur is back ok ill see some change but now i see nothing good from Balo happening IMO

If you have been holding him for this long you just lost points with so many other options in WestBrom, WestHam and Southampton strikers!

His picks are unreal at times but kudos to him for having the balls to change it up, especially dropping Costa so early, he missed out on some good points there but was proved right when Aguero banged in 4.

Yeah it was a solid week the chambers 18 was very nice but i did change my cap from Sanchez to Aggy at 11:44 so lost some points on that move but was sure aggy would have done better against united given that terrible defence they have!

No crystal ball here fella last season when i was 100+ in front of you i listened to everyone else on what to change and that just got me 2nd place in the league. This year its gut choices playing the fixtures not the bandwagons!

I see you climbing up the table which is nice to see am looking out for you hitting spot 2 to reignite our rivalry

Yeah Costa was a tough one i Dropped him that week he scored the hat trick then brought him back in after he went up 0.4m in cash but at 11.2 after the international break his price was falling like a stone and that injury was going to keep him out and QPR did great and next is pool so i may try to find a way to get him back in as he is a definite goal machine!

I already made my change for this week and international break coming as well Chelsea vs Pool should be a cracker Rogers rested plays in Madrid so he has some intention of saving his job after buying some shit players and going full retard on tactics

The main thing when making transfers that cost you -4 points they should very very very rarely if ever be for just one week. If you take a hit on points the hits have to be part of a long term strategy.

Good luck with your transfers

Good luck with your transfers
I'm so far gone now with the amount of transfers I have made that I'm just gonna keep doing it lol. Do they deduct points in your head to head matches? I never quite read the rules on it properly, either way, I'm pretty happy with my team right now, all my players seem to be playing against teams where they will score some big points for the next two weeks or so. Time will tell.

Forgot to mention, the person in our league with the most points this week will get a $100 coupon to buy traffic with us. Good luck everyone.

Disclaimer: Obviously, none of the trafficforce team can win, in the event one of us did win, the coupon will be passed onto the next highest scoring pool member.

Nice Ross! I'm feeling pretty good about my transfers this week, took the gamble not to make a transfer last week, so was able to bring in 2!

Your team looks strong Paul. Interesting that you'd bench Sterling as opposed to transfer him tho, what's your thinking there? I know you are a big Liverpool fan but the kid has dropped it since that England crap where he asked not to play the full game. I think his head is gone a little bit, especially with how badly Liverpool are playing.

Seems there is a lot better value for 8.5 million right now. I finally let him go this week, I like him but he just isn't playing as well as he did last year.

I took a gamble and held him last week and my plan was to transfer him out this week, which I've done. I also want to get rid of Siggy, as he's on the downslide too, but can't get rid of him this week. I think you will like my picks.

Totally agree, I think he was the first to have Aguero in his team.

I feel like I'm playing catchup every week!

Baines was another excellent pick! Everton have a fixture list of 5 - 7 winnable games and they are hitting form. Baines has 9 assists in all competitions so far this year, incredible!

I think we're all pleased you changed your mind last week

Chambers was an excellent pick at 4.5, Sanchez has been in outstanding form the past few weeks. It'll be interesting to see if that form continues!

It's interesting because this year I've resisted some of the bandwagons and it's not paid off holding on to players as their values decrease quickly.

Swapping Costa for Pellè was a great call! Your team is building up in value nicely

It's going to be interesting to see how Southampton fair against the top teams in their up and coming fixtures against Man City, Man United & Arsenal, a couple of wins and who knows! They may become contenders for a top 4 finish.

Just think of me like Manchester United under Ferguson, always stronger in the second half of the season

Interestingly enough on Gameweek 10 last season you had 614 points and I had 545 points, so I'm quite pleased to only be 42 points behind you.

Anything can happen though, that's what makes it so much fun. There is less than 100 points separating the top 10 and most people have a strong team, all it takes is 1 or 2 good calls with choosing a captain and anyone can climb a few places in the league.

It's early days yet!

Game week 11 Complete:

Top points scorer this week is SFC with 85 points I wont post the managers name but Ross I believe you guys know each other well. I should have not done the -8 on two transfers as that sweet advertising cash would have been all mine

Good game week this week pretty solid scores keeping the league close. Chelsea look unstoppable. Liverpool keep losing but have a possible nice run of games now. Arsenal can't hold a lead after being 0-1 up then losing 2-1. City without Aggys goals i have no idea where they would be. Southampton are the only ones keeping up with Chelsea but the next run of fixtures for them are going test their true title/CL spot credentials.

International break now so time to relax and prepare for game week 12

well done Shap.

side question - I dropped siggy this week but saw as Dier didn't play he seemed to have been automatically included in Diers place. Am I right in thinking that a player who doesn't start gets replaced by the highest scoring sub? Assuming the formation is within the rules of course? And would this be just a single instance, or would that go for multiple non-starters/subs, again if applicable in the formation?

Shap hit me up to claim the $100 coupon. Good week from you, could have been even better, you had Larsson on the bench and he was dream team with 9 points, if you had him in for Fabregas you'd have been onto 92 points this week
