Rather than just telling people how good the porn is, do we have to convince them that everyone else has been buying it? Apparently convincing people that something is a social norm is a highly effective way to change their behavior.

Perhaps have a small video just before the join page showing a surfer signing up and gaining access to the site, or maybe a video quickly showing a number of people gaining access

Porn is an impulse buy. people don't need/use logic and reason to buy a hotdog outside of home depot or a kittkatt at the grocery store.

Generation Y (the Millennials) have a more acceptive attitude toward porn. So, a lot would depend on you audience. However, buying power should be considered as well as branding or PR of a product or market.
