This should add plenty of fuel to the "MOON LANDING WAS FAKED!!!1!!" Fire. Amstrong's Secret Stash

Quote:
The widow of astronaut Neil Armstrong has donated a bag full of equipment that was used by her husband after finding it in a closet.

Carol Armstrong found a mysterious bag after her husband's death in 2012, and saw that the space pioneer seemed to be keeping personal mementos which were supposed to be left on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission.

The gear was later confirmed to be artifacts from the most famous space flight of all time after Mrs Armstrong got in touch with the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum, where the items are now on loan.

So he brought some mementos back.

How's that translate to saying the mission was faked?

Well if you believe the official story behind the items which is they were to be left behind due to weight. Then at a minimum Neil endangered the lives of his fellow crew members by smuggling them back and in addition allowed the lie to go on until after his death. Why these particular items were chosen to be "left behind" is beyond me.

So, without that weight issue they would have hauled all that shit back to earth? Some straps and regular "shit"? More stuff is left behind on regular military mission and now they are supposed to have some "budget wise" savings on Moon mission?

That bag doesn't seem to weight that much, to be an issue. Or at least according to the story, they did account for the extra weight (the others knew too).

"The astronauts estimated that it held ten pounds.were careful to account for the extra weight and its distribution within their craft.

The claim is/was they left these items behind because of the lunar rocks they brought back.

They brought 22 kilograms lunar rocks. You still think this 5 kilogram bag is vital thing in this calculation?

That's the official story that's all I know. Apparently other items were left behind as well such as something unnamed in remembrance of his daughter.

You can repeat that official thing as much as creationits use "theory", but do you have anything to back up even slightest doubt?

"Cernan: I left my Hasselblad camera there with the lens pointing up at the zenith, the idea being someday someone would come back and find out how much deterioration solar cosmic radiation had on the glass.

So, going up the ladder, I never took a photo of my last footstep. How dumb! Wouldn’t it have been better to take the camera with me, get the shot, take the film pack off and then (for weight restrictions) throw the camera away?"

Last Man on Moon Left Camera Behind, Regrets NASA’s Fade - Bloomberg Business

Seems they were pretty concerned with weight.

Did I claim fake anywhere? What I said was at a minimum Armstrong endangered the lives of his crew members and allowed a lie to continue. You can run with that wherever you like.

As far as moon rocks have you heard of Lunar meteorite - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Based on that story they did it together; so they endangered their lives together. Big whoop. I don't care.

And yes, I have heard about lunar meteorites. And I firmly believe that fake USA hoarded these fake rocks from elsewhere and fake used those as fake lunar rocks in various fake lunar fake missions.

So NASA could do all the things they say they did years ago, but this is the best photo of the landing site they could get today?

So you believe the others knew he kept them. If so then why him? Why didn't they spead the "momentos" among them all? And if they all did know then they all have kept the lie alive all of these years. Which kinda throws a bit of shadow on their collective integrity does it not?

Believe? Didn't you read that article?

"There are records of Apollo 11's astronauts mentioning the so-called McDivitt purse, named in honor of Apollo 9 Commander Jim McDivitt, during their journey.

They took few objects, not a big lie, and I don't know about what collective integrity you are talking about. And let me be more specific; I don't fucking care. He was Apollo's commander, he took some objects with him, and they kept it as a secret. Unless you have something else than that, I don't care.

I guess you missed the part where it says in bold lettering in the article title "suppose to remain in space" they filled, weighed and named the bag to be left behind.. Why go through the trouble of filling and weighing a bag of junk that was already on the ship before leaving the moon if it wasn't suppose to be left behind?

So maybe the point was supposed to be if he were to leave this bag on the moon but took it home anyway, maybe he never landed on the moon and that's why he has the stuff.

"The contents of the McDivitt purse, which resembles an ordinary white clutch purse, were supposed to remain in space, according to the Smithsonian

There is nothing about that the bag contents were supposed to be put into the bag, filed, weighted and so on. They were just supposed to leave that stuff on the Moon.

"although they were formally scheduled to be left behind — they were assembled in the Temporary Stowage Bag and saved from the fate that awaited Eagle’s ascent stage and all of its contents: crashing into the lunar surface."

"Later (MET 181:38:04) they would describe to mission control the container with the “odds and ends” as, “10 pounds of LM miscellaneous equipment.” It was important they account for the amount and distribution of any added weight so that the return trajectory and entry parameters could be calculated with precision."

The moon landing fake worked so well they decided to do it another 5 times.

And the soviets were of course in on the joke and are still keeping the secret.
