				We're never figuring this out!
A new physics model that predicts there was no Big Bang, the Universe always existed and always will exist. I think it's beyond human intelligence, perhaps AI machines will crunch away and explain it all one day. No Big Bang? Quantum equation predicts universe has no beginning

				 | Maybe once they figure out another great mystery of the world. This is the one where in 2000 the adult industry had the perfect business model of giving away very little which resulted in signup ratios that were through the roof and money basically falling from the sky, but still they insisted on seeing who could give away the most free content and turn the industry into a battle for scraps. |

				 | I thought Sheldon had it all figured out.....:D I never, ever bought the Big Bang Theory (the scientific theory, not the TV series). The thing that bugs me about scientists is once they get ahold of a new Theory they proclaim it as fact more often than not and are just as zealous as religious nuts. But then that "theory" turns out to be....theory (not "fact") and suddenly the scientists look like fools. Remember string theory? Evolution? Big Bang? What's next, gravity? I bet Einstein was wrong, too. How about all these 'scientists' spend their time trying to figure out how to FIX SHIT on this planet instead of worrying about dark matter, black holes and Spock's brain? There's a theory for ya.

The amount of tech and inventions and such that stem from the theory of relativity is staggering in spite of the fact it's based on 100 year old thinking. Einstein was not wrong, he was as right as science and math are capable of understanding at the time. HIs theory will be trumped, but that doesn't make it/him wrong. | |

It is funny to me tho what scientists think will happen once they discover how everything began (or works). Will we suddenly be transported through black holes and visit the far reaches of the universe? I am a practical fellow so fundamentally find thought experiements and theoretical anything quite amusing. Also, I like Albert's hair and wild crazy eyes. LOL

				 | Just what I always thought, if you have a big bang then people ask "but what caused the big bang ?" Well it was a random burp in the multiverse. OK but where did the multiverse come from ? Well I don't know, stop asking stupid fucking questions kid. God created it, there you go, happy now ? As an atheist this is a God killer. We're programmed to think logically ie. cause and effect. The only obvious answer IS that the universe has always existed and always will. Don't be so surprised, just get used to infinity. |

				 | It was an explosion of energy (according to the famous Einstein's formula: m=e/c^2). Where that energy was taken from? From nothing. How? Dark energy. Lets imagine you are stays on a flat field (nothing) and want to make a heap of earth (get the energy). To do so, you simple dig a pit (dark energy) of the same size as the heap.

				 | Simple. Light energy. Light energy illuminates & creates. Dark energy drains & consumes. The fact that we are enlightened and not consumed by darkness proves this fact beyond a doubt. |

				 | Easy. Light energy projects, it illuminates. Give unto light and the darkness disappears unto itself. Logic dictates that light energy is the spirit that keeps all we know visible. Without light energy, dark energy has nothing to consume but itself. |

				 | Dark energy called so not because it's visually dark It's invisible which means it does not consumes the light. Photons just go through it.

				 | I'm sorry my friend but black holes consume light. Dark energy is expanding the universe, separating all matter & light travels slower then dark energy unfortunately. |

				 | Black holes - yes, but they have nothing to do with dark energy. And they not consume the light. They just have an enormous mass/gravitation, so all photons (or anything else) that reach the event horizon of a black hole won't leave it anymore. Once again, there is no dark energy involved You can imagine a black hole as a magnet and photons as iron spheres, thrown in its direction.

				 | if this is true, this confirms my not so humble opine that we are most certainly the only technologically advanced life in the universe. math as shown that an entire galaxy can be colonized in a few 100 million yeas. forever is mighty long time. there's some other interesting research that is showing life on earth is mathematically much older than 2 billion years. |

				 | Guess I'm going over 9000. Here's my understanding of the subject and my philosophical take on it. Big bang theory kind of unofficially says the universe always existed. Just says it was a "singularity" or infinitely dense point. Then the expansion started somehow which created a few chemical elements (through nucleosynthesis); mainly hydrogen and helium. Those earliest elements formed stars which eventually died out and created the other elements through fusion. This new model says the universe always existed. That's not a huge stretch since big bang theory can't explain where the singularity came from. It also doesn't explain where the quarks and leptons came from to create hydrogen and helium. So, basically something has always existed with either theory. I want to know how the first atom of hydrogen formed. To me it's as interesting as how life formed. I think there must be some similarity between the way elements are created and the way the first living cells were created. I can imagine the universe following some type of ebb and flow pattern; expanding then collapsing on itself. Maybe a million big bangs and collapses happened before the one we're studying. What if the universe expands like cells? After it reaches a certain size it will split into two separate universes. This is fascinating and fun to think about but it doesn't serve much of a purpose in my life. I know the only universe I need to understand is in my own mind. |

				 | How does something begin? We can trace the source of everything we see back to it's origins except the universe; the source of all sources. The universe always existing is easier to comprehend than some miraculous explosion story. Do you think the universe would exist without the human mind observing it? |

				 | The concluding statement from a Stephen Hawking lecture: "The conclusion of this lecture is that the universe has not existed forever. Rather, the universe, and time itself, had a beginning in the Big Bang, about 15 billion years ago. The beginning of real time, would have been a singularity, at which the laws of physics would have broken down. Nevertheless, the way the universe began would have been determined by the laws of physics, if the universe satisfied the no boundary condition. This says that in the imaginary time direction, space-time is finite in extent, but doesn't have any boundary or edge. The predictions of the no boundary proposal seem to agree with observation. The no boundary hypothesis also predicts that the universe will eventually collapse again." The Beginning of Time - Stephen Hawking
