Job participation rate is at 62%, that's the lowest since the Carter Administration. More people are out of work than ever!

Don't forget the "baby Boomers" are now at retirement age and are dropping out of the work force left and right... that HAS to also have an effect on the numbers.

As well as all those back in school getting re-trained for new jobs after NAFTA sent the old jobs overseas...

Well, EVERYONE ELSE don't forget that... Obama haters are going to hate no matter what you say...

Because he's black.

At least that's what the liberals keep telling me is the reason why I don't like him.

I always thought my dislike was based on his government-centric policies and his socialist-leaning philosophy, both of which I see as running counter to the ideals this country was founded on.

But hey what do I know? I guess it's just easier to categorize me as a racist so my opinion can be ignored.

if i felt like a bit of the googling i could punch holes in every single one of those skewed fucking numbers. like how that dow stat is after the market tumbled upon hearing BO won the election. not to mention the OP couldn't post one single BO program or effort that created those faked stats. for instance, what the fuck did BO do re: consumer confidence? What did BO do to that impacted the stock market? oh, that's right gave a few trillion $$$ to wall street while neglecting main street and the middle class.

if BO is so successful then the dems wouldn't have lost their asses in this last election and AMerican citizens, you know, the ones who actually fucking live here and not in Canaduh, would have a higher approval rating of their PUSA.

there's a reason Americans do not approve of BO, regardless of fucking libtard memes.

The simple fact is, if Obama had a big [R] beside his name he would be the GOP's second coming right now.. Obama has not been very Liberal, that's for 100% certain..

But hey what do I know? I guess it's just easier to categorize me as a racist so my opinion can be ignored.
Did you also think Reagan was a Socialist? Obama has been consistently to the "Right" of what Reagan's policies were..

for instance, let's look closer at the unemployment figure, nevermind the fact the OP couldn't point to one single BO program that motivated hiring.

Here is the stunning statistic on the economy that tells the whole story about why we aren’t growing faster. Since Barack Obama entered the Oval Office in January of 2009,the percentage of the working age population actually part of the labor force (either working or looking for work) has plummeted by 3 percentage points – to 62.7%.

Not since early 1978 has such a low proportion of the working-age population been in the labor force. In effect, the labor force is 7.4 million smaller than it otherwise would have been had people either not stopped looking for work or, particularly with the case of younger Americans, simply failed to start looking for work. In effect, nearly as many Americans have either left the work force – or never entered — in this recovery than have found a job. That’s a very distressing trend. It also explains the big dive in the official unemployment rate to 5.9%.

Dow is still almost double what it was on November 3, 2008. It closed at 9319.83 that day.

I was going to go one-by-one through your list but decided to stop after one Google search blew your first "theory" out of the water.

it's not a theory, it's a fact. I claimed the # missrepresented the truth and it did. the simple fact is the dow dropped 300 points on the news BO was elected and that's the # the meme wrongly uses to portray the dow prior to BO.

i'm not surprised you whimp out after ~30 seconds of googling though, i'm sure that's a record for you!

The economy is recovering pretty well all things considered, however there definitely needs to be more improvement in "real" jobs(ie., salaried positions or higher paying jobs). Retail and fast food are a huge part of the growth and those aren't sustainable career paths in most cases. Do I think the executive branch is or has the answer to this? Not really. The best scenario would be Congress passing a comprehensive jobs bill that includes fixing our interstate system / bridges and puts a lot of blue collar workers back to work, which then means they're spending their money on shiny new iPhones, vehicles, and greasy cheeseburgers.

I don't think it's likely to happen with this GOP in the majority, though. The GOP needs more John McCains and less John Boehners.
