didn't read the article, but there are options to disable all of that sending data to MS , it's even available from install

MS should have made people not to opt out though but opt in for stuff they wish to send over to MS, it would have been much more accepted by the public instead of raging.

cortana will have to wait till it gets smarter enough that it won't need to send anything over to a cloud for analysis.

That's not a function of the browser but the tracking of your web visits using cookies and network client profile fingerprinting at an ad server level.

The thing is though, this spying shit Microsoft is doing is most likely the future of all computer software and hardware. Its a sad state of technology when stuff that's supposed to be trusted and legitimate is as bad or worse than any virus. Plus, all this shit is a hacker's wet dream. Its not a question of if all this spy info will be intercepted in transit, or obtained from the "cloud." How soon we forget an event called Fappening.
