Two chemical plant explosions in a short time is very suspicious.

As there have been no claims of responsibility from any terrorist or internal insurgent group it may be some government or a Chinese government false flag operation. As there is no real reason for an outside government's attack I would consider the possibility of some internal political cause

I don't think that these explosions have much influence to internal politics. Well, maybe some chemical "comrad" gets screwed hard, but otherwise. Tell me some country where some accidental explosions would cause much changes to internal politics? Unless the politicians gets blown up.

Australia.

Esso Longford Gas Explosion (which left our state without Gas + Hot Showers for weeks) on 25th September 1998.

Shell / Altona Oil Refinery Fire 2nd October 1998 which led to a petrol price spike and changed management practices at the refinery which is close to Melbourne.

With both involving stored chemicals. Possible, China has a very bad industrial and manufactured good record ... Seems that both were similar == stored chemicals without any natural or wartime cause (so far disclosed). That seems to me one hell of a long shot.

Human error & Poorly maintained systems.

Sometimes things just happen.

Sometimes there won't be a major plane crash for years and then we'll see two in a few months.

Sometimes things just happen, it's statistically correct to expect that sometimes major events just might occur close together.
