Looks good. I don't like the Titanic Guy, But will give it a try. Vin Diesel or Jason Statham would have been my choice. But I will keep an open mind.

Sorry there are no big explosions or car chase scenes in this movie, they would be out of place...

How gory were the gory scenes? Tolerable? Did they flow with the sequence or seem to be gory for gory sake? Tarantino style? Was DiCaprio DiCaprio? Or was he the character? Very interested in this movie.

That wouldn't be very Inarritu.

I haven't seen it, but someone who did told me he was scared by the bear attack scene more than any horror movie he's seen lately.

Real guy it is based on, Hugh Glass, incredible story. Want to see it on a super 70 screen, like Cinerama.

yeah, that's what i'm concerned about. the bear attack scene i would be OK with regardless, but i've read some things about other scenes, that were drawn out and focused close-up on the gore. i get that it's ugly out in the wilderness like that sure, nevertheless, i don't like gratuitous violence. i really like the plot and everything about this story though, the characters and the environment all pique my movie interests. thinking i may read the book the film is based on.

Just got home from watching it. It was a great movie, maybe Leo's shot at an Oscar (even though I think he was out-acted by Tom Hardy). Was a long movie and if you're into the fast paced shoot'em up movies, it's not for you. Don't let the trailer fool you.

*************SPOILER WARNING*****************

Is it me, or did Leo only have a couple lines of spoken English in the entire movie? The first hour and a half was nothing but him speaking small bits of Pawnee, and the rest was him grunting and breathing heavily. Granted, what he went through, grunting and breathing heavily would have been my method of communication as well.

Leo doesn't speak too much in the movie, but this is his chance for an Oscar. I agree that Tom was very good and probably did a better job acting.

I would say 9/10. Many great scenes, amazing acting, interesting story. You will like it. ;)

Looking forward to watching more new films, it looks like it is going to be a great year movie-wise.

WOWS was good...and I liked him in And Catch Me If You Can.

This new one sounds good. I always liked Jeremiah Johnson - this one sounds like a possible rival.
