Who is your Fav Author, based on their entire body of work?

Mine would be Stephen King for all his books collectively, although my fav book would be by Dean Koontz...

What say you?

As cheesy as some of her books are, my favorite author is probably Patricia Cornwell, with James Patterson a very close second.

I've read a lot of excellent books by excellent authors, but there isn't enough established work to consider them. Ken Follett wrote an amazing series (Pillars), but the rest of his work sucked. George R.R. Martin with GOT, but that's it. I used to be a huge fan of Clancy, but his stuff just started getting really redundant. Same with Koontz, King, Grisham, et al.

My all time favorite book is Trinity by Leon Uris.

I would like to read more of his books, but of the ones I've read, Vincent Bugliosi was a fantastic author.

In hindsight - I'd have to say my favorite author was actually Leslie McFarlane (aka Franklin W. Dixon).

As a kid, his books were the ones that got me hooked on reading.

I made it this far and was going to post "I'm surprised nobody said Chuck Palahniuk" yet.

I mostly read nonfiction. And for that, I'll go with Robert Greene.

Stephen King fans, are you familiar with his book The eyes of the dragon? It was a huge deviation from his usual horror stuff, was set in fabled medieval times. It's been probably 30 years since I read it but damn I remember it being really good.
