'An Unique' or 'A Unique' - It's Early...

I need more coffee - If you follow the rules it should be 'An unique feature' - It sounds very wrong though - I am writing this on behalf of somebody else - So I don't want them to sound as stupid as I obviously am...

Then I suggest you outsource the job to a 3rd world country.

It's "a unique" since the "U" starts with a "Yu" sound

That's twice the going rate. The other half is for your aggravation.

I'm not going to pay you AND provide the answer.

Well that was a waste of time - He said - "Mr EddyTheDog Sir, It can be whatever makes you happy sir..." - That's half a cent I wont be getting back...

I negotiated on the price BTW.....

That's correct, but personally I would write it with "an". I know it's wrong, but I'm used to write it like that

The Rule is Not "A" Before Consonants and "An" Before Vowels

I think an hotel and a hotel are both technically correct but I could be wrong. Why "an hotel"? I guess for the same reason one would use "an historic event" - depends on how you say hotel I guess?

Example: Most Americans says erb while Brits say herb. An erb vs A herb and An 'otel vs A hotel ....

Fuck it, I'm foreign, I don't know ....

A hotel, an hotel?

Two peoples separated by a common language USA/UK

I generally use 'a' but an HTML page sounds correct to my ear ...

university, unique, Unitarian, unit, and the fashion choice of many on this board, unitard all have the yew sound, and they all go with "a". When U is "uh" like underpass, undershirt, ugly bitch, they go with "an"

Another vote for 'a unique'.

"It's a unique situation."

Doesn't sound right if said, "It's an unique situation."
