I was wondering how much was he spending on akamai, and now that it's clear its free of charge and he got dumped, its going to be shit. He should really find a good sponsor and pay properly to akamai. They probably got tired of all the shit since he's constantly under ddos. Normally that goes into 100 thousands of dollar bills, he probably payed nothing

Akamai probably hosted him in the first days because of good advertising, but after few years it became more then a burden so they dropped him. Cloudflare probably thinking the same.

I think it was more about scammers using cloudflare to hide their server IPs and such, not much of cloudflare's services. based on what I see on his twitter, many companies offered him "pro bono" services including cloudflare rep.
