it is also not so reliable as you have to have some energy backup as wind doesnt blow all the time...

that there is still coal in the energy mix has the same reason as in US - coal is subsidized
in Germany since 50 years and for nobody else nessecary as the subsidized workers.

And that number did not change because Germany got rid of more than 50% of the nuclear energy and til 2020 ALL nuclear energy reactors be gone and replaced by green energy.

while US depts are growing like 15.000 dollar per second.
