Value of my site?
someone approached me to buy my site - maybe it's a scam - but what is the going rate?
turnover = z value = 3.5 x z? or more/less and how do you transfer a site and all the code/Db/money and retain security - for both parties? |

Edit, I've sold many mainstream sites using escrow.com but I'm not sure if they allow adult.

With regard to valuation: Past performance is no guarantee of future performance.
What I am saying is that you need to consider;
Escrow.com is ok for simple domain name transfers. Complex business transfers are usually handled by attorneys. IMHO, you want to recapture your investment in no more that 2 years. Exception being real estate or certain other hard asset investments. |

yes 3.5 times the usual 3 months earning is appropriate, but some businesses could be worth more or valued more or less for obvious reasons... buying a solo model site for this, you would need to appreciate the traffic & that you may not have more content to continue the further updates. Of course a camsite or niche or mega porn site wouldn´t have the same problems to encounter

I have used escrow.com for many adult transactions
The prices what I paid were from a $1000 up to 75K , never had any issues, they dont release funds until you give approval as the buyer Good Luck

GFY Sell & Buy Forum is the best place to sell in my opinion. You could try other adult webmaster forums as well. Mainstream auction sites don't really have the demand for these sites, nor allow adult listings.
As for a safe way to handle the transaction, I also had no issues with using Escrow.com for adult, and I recommend it. By 3.5, what did you mean, months, or years? In my opinion, 3.5 months is too low, and 3.5 years is too high. Also, there is no such thing as the "the usual 3 months earnings" that a poster above mentioned. |

I should just clarify a couple of points....
turnover $150k per year alexa 20,000'ish revenue generated from affiliation I've only scratched the surface of the future potential - I've been coasting for the last 5 years. |

You will need written permission to assign the affiliate accounts for that site from the sponsors -- normally affiliate contracts prohibit assignment -- get approval of that first. A sponsor may require some due diligence with regard to assignees --ask.
That is a potential pain point in a site sale (*working on site contracts this week ;o) top-of-mind I guess) |

I'd guess the new owner would either use their existing affiliations or sign up fresh - so not my problem!

Tha math is wrong....there are two ways to look at it..
1) if you are a tube, cam op or other basically stolen content site 3.5 x 3 formula is not so far. But 2) if you own good an exlusive content, your site may be worth close to usual business valuation, which is annual gross x 10 - costs. ( or net before taxes per annum x 10) Lets make an example: Met Art easily taking in 100 K / month is not worth 350 K but if their net is 1 mil. Their worth would be closer to 10 mil. |

Then you will get the income. The site is now a domain with files.

The new owner can just change the info & payment details. In my experience, most adult programs operate in a very practical way, and not in a high-enterprise bureaucratic manner. My bet is that 90% of the affiliate managers haven't even read their own TOS. |

That is all fine and well -- just get permission and consent to the contract you operate under. The buyer will want that proof unless you can find an idiot with money
