The NEW Russian Hacker Secret is out - Kaspersky Labs - Now NSA tools
I did mention this before it became news but here it is news by others.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...e5d_story.html So now the Russians have all the NSA hacker tools... Go Figure ! I'm thinking the Chinese have had them as well but that is a whole new story for later. ... Data Security - two words that have no business being used together in a sentence. |

Its been out for a few days. It appears it had nothing to do with any state dept computers running kaspersky, but a individual who worked as a contractor had kaspersky on his own machine and then worked from home on tne NSA tools..
I remember thinking back in the day there was no fucking way Id ever install that shit on my pc, just because at the time.. I was running porn sites and "Russians" were synonymous with cheaters using hit bots and gallery redirects. I remember the running joke was "un-plug Russia".. How anyone could trustva program like that from a country lime Russia is beyond me, specially if you are working on shit like that,, BTW.. of course wikileaks will never get any or post anything about this...

That is a new report and yes, it has nothing to do with the company at it's core. The real story is how the Russians used it to find what they were looking for.
That's 99% of the battle of getting it. But the Russian acquisition of NSA hacker tools have changed the equation. |

It was always obvious Russia would have a back door is something like kaspersky.. I mean even if the company was legit (which they arent) Russia is a defacto dictatorship.. if Putin or Russian intelligence wants access to sonething Russian made then they are granted access or they take it.. Obviously, something with so much access to computers around the world would be of interest to Putin, so its always been obvious Russian intelligence would have a back door.

In 2015, Israeli government hackers saw something suspicious in the computers of a Moscow-based cybersecurity firm: hacking tools that could only have come from the National Security Agency.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...=.e05102ffcabd NSA tools = computer viruses. Kaspersky just detects viruses and add in the database for protection others. And used quarantine detected viruses for education and research - this files was found by illegal Israel's hackers on Kaspersky computers. 1. NSA develop computer viruses (Israeli government hackers too and know these viruses) - and hack people around the world(stole money of course, DDoS blackmail, spam etc). 2. Blame Russia on it and use it in Anti-Russian propaganda. >and "Russians" were synonymous with cheaters Written Jewish guy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The United States government has been hacked everywhere. EVERYWHERE.
They've hacked our drones and we cannot seem to remove this virus: US military drone fleet infected by computer virus that 'keeps coming back' North Korea has hacked South Korea and gotten a hold of ALL of our military plans in the event of war. And these are just a few of the things we know about.

These issues are relatively new in awareness and most folks understanding of them is normally after the damage has been done.
I hope that while this discussion continues, folks will realize that there is no such thing as data security. Even when governments and corporations get a grip on their problems, there is not a sole to watch out for your individual interest except you. You must demand at least better in regulation of your personal information. Or you will never have it. The US has virtually no personal protections as compared to Europe, and that is not saying a whole lot. With the addition of biometerics soon to be everywhere, someone has the potential to know you better than you know you. And at the same time you will have a harder time proving who you are. Unless you buy into the next group of flawed technology. |

I did a search on GFY for the topic last week and seen your posts. I personally had nothing but suspicion until about 2 years ago that I could pin something specific to it. But I have had a problem with all 'updating software' for a very long time. Virus scanners in particular offer a opportunity for hacks of many types because they are able to look at everything on the system and report back items of unidentified code. The problem with Kaspersky was only the fact that it did it's job very well but the Russian government had access to all of that unidentified code and the location where it was found from Kaspersky. Not funny is how many issues we have had with security in Adobe products and the fact that Adobe Reader is the US Governments official document type. So every government office has it along with all those private entities that have to deal with the government. Many of the 'fixes' in security lapse's have been a mere band-aids while the flaws still exist at their core and they only stop the current method of attack. Microsoft often does the same. |

Countries can't teach Hillary to use secure email server and NSA guy not use secret viruses with foreign antivirus. Modern program software gives the normal level of data security.
