When I got my first adult industry writing gigs for companies like Hustler/LFP, I was living in the DC suburbs. I'm the spawn of an attorney and a diplomat. If I wanted a career in government, I probably could have made that choice and I did not.

I think we're fighting a losing battle though, I've been trying to add some value recently but it's getting drowned out.

The troll has many fake nics and he can say and do whatever he wants and when one gets deleted he just keeps posting with the others. He keeps them on rotation posting with five or so for awhile then cycling out every couple months.

If one particular nic gets too much heat he'll stop posting with it and start with another that hasn't posted for a few months.

There are other webmaster forums. Have many webmasters have migrated over to those forums permanently? Why is this forum the most active? It would stand to reason that if GFY were irrelevant, it would have died already. Why are complainers still here? GFY pretty accurately reflects society these days. Most people who take such views are in lofty positions in life.

That's not to say they weren't hard earned.

But the flame changes pace doesn't it.. the connection thins. Important to remember the burn.

I wish I could cure myself of empathy as well.. Oh how it aches for something greater than myself, and true across all aspects of life. But I fear we don't get there without restablishing some very "common sense" and "greater good" values.

But who knows.. Maybe those same fellows who devised WW1 have good things in mind for our future on this planet? Hasn't much felt like that the past 15 years though

Nobody who is okay just rolling with the easy status quo should be an entrepreneur.

GFY used to be the best, especially for people who could push traffic, so people like me still are hopeful about it. I'm here way less, but that's why I still care and stop by.
