Interesting topic. I think its absurd to deny the clear scientific evidence asserting that climate change is real. Only idiots would deny that which is, for all practical purposes, scientific fact.

However, when it comes to scientific evidence of things I simply don't want to believe (due to the uncomfortable ramifications that belief would entail), I think its perfectly OK to disavow science as utter foolishness and stupidity only for idiots to believe. I can do so with a clear conscience and don't feel like a hypocrite at all. Case in point:

Evolution does not say that something came from nothing. That is one of the stereotypical fallacies use to refute it. If you're referring to how life started on earth, that is a comletely different field called abiogenesis that has nothing to do with evolution.

Micro and macro evolution are the same thing, only difference is macro ocurrs over millions of years and micro are simply smaller changes.
