Do any of you have food related blogs?

I'm looking to do some guest blogging to help with traffic to my new food blog site

Chef Blog – Another Chef Blog written by a real chef!

It's fairly new but have written all the posts myself

i can see watch blog post has images, but looking at the blog tour, it´s text can be a little boring... pics are good

welcoming you to use any of these...

and you can cut either like this...

welcoming you to use any and we´ve many more images of food, bbq, meals out, burgers, egg and bacon rolls all split open and oozing everywhere

Good luck with your blog

As one Chef to another.. I'd say lose the Chef claims asap or you'll never betaken seriously, especially when your main achievements seems to be you passed an exam and have travelled to a whole two province's in Canada. Did you do an apprenticeship or one of those courses for residency?

as Nat shows.. feature local food cooked well with easy to follow recipes and instructions with "brilliant" photos, and for fucks sake.. don't use recipes you found on the internet.. write the fucking things.... Tis what Chefs do you know. Have fun, experiment and engage your users.

I'm not a chef, but I've become very good at doing amazing steaks. I thought I may be imagining it until I cooked for eight people with varying levels of doneness. Nailed all of them (cringed at having to do one of them well done) and everyone thought it was the best steak they've eaten in a long time. I don't count the well done person's opinion because she has no idea what a good steak tastes like, even though I could have eaten my well done because it wasn't a brick like most people do it. Really... What the fuck is with those people who eat overcooked steak? If you're afraid of a little redness, then don't eat steak. Go to McDonald's and get a big Mac.

What everybody else said. Food blogs are pretty competitive. Been that way for years.
Def need to get traffic through social media.

I suggest using crakrevenue and awempire to monetize.

This is from 9 years ago. Back when the blogosphere was blowing up.

I took my first look at your site; not impressed with layout. Photos might help.

Found this comment in first post rather amusing. "Not all chef’s are good writers. However; some of us are."

If that is an example of your good writing, no you are not. If you were a good writer I might let you do a guest post on my site, but you come across as ESL. Nothing personal at all.

You need food photos on your blog and a photo header. Huge let down for foodies to land on a text only blog

English is my first language if you read my other posts I'm a Canadian chef... I was simply stating that not all chef's are writers, or that great at writing... Not all of us write recipe books etc... but for me I do enjoy it I just don't do it for a living.... however; you did say a few good suggestions and do agree with some of the other's I definitely plan on eventually adding more pictures.

my budget is very low at the moment as im currently working part time winter sucks for chefs for work in most places in Canada... not all but most... so thats why I thought id write a blog, a place were I can vent, share thoughts and yes eventually share recipes that too I agree with.

I also do appreciate everyone who's commented on this thread!

Thanks for sharing the list I love reading recipes on Aussie food I was in Banff for 3 years and learned by chatting with some of them that they do have a lot of great seafood recipes!

Before someone says that Banff is not Australia I should add that there are a lot of Aussie's in Banff during the ski season lol

I'm a Kiwi but live in Aus, did my training in the mountains in NZ, a place called the Hermitage https://www.hermitage.co.nz/ It was unique because to go above 3rd cook you needed 4 years European experience so all the Chef de parties up were Europeans, mostly German which was a great schooling in the basics while getting German work ethics. I did the compulsory working holiday of Europe and returned to NZ working in Queenstown, first job back was as a sous chef which quickly lead to head chef and stayed in that roll for 15 years. I moved to Aus in my late 20's

When I was in Europe I worked as Poissonnier, so all seafood's and I basically did that because its the easiest section, stuff all prep and everything cooked to order. It was a shell shock when I first came to Aus due to the abundance and quality of seafood available here. back in NZ I'd phone the fishmonger and ask what fish was available and there would be 2-3 daily that were fresh, where as in Sydney there would be closer to 100, basically what ever you want, fresh today.

Aussies themselves piss me off seafood wise cos like everyone will eat snapper , but pass on leather jackets and Turbot which are actually far superior.. and cheaper cos few buy them, the other hard thing to explain too Aussies is, not everything is best cooked on the BBQ.

I have a ex michelin star chef coming for dinner tonight, I cook, he brings the pot ;) BBQ Salmon on a lima bean and tomato veg casserole, and fuck knows what's for dessert yet but I have an green apple and mint sorbet I made the other day in the freezer, just what the fuck to put with that I have no idea, I served it the other night with peppermint chocolate chards, but wifys gone on another diet and chocolate is banned this week... maybe I'll throw some white rum on top and call it frozen mohiito
