It's just more processed junk, doesn't matter if it's animal or vegetable. If you really wanna stay healthy stay away from processed food of any sort and eat food the way nature made it.

I love my caviar, steak, burgers, turkey, chicken, smoked salmon, shrimp, crab, lobster, eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, hotdogs, etc.

That being said, I tried some meatless morning sausage patties the other day and they were really really good. If they can make meatless imitations that tastes exactly like the real thing I'm fine with that but I'm not letting go of anything I like unless the imitation tastes exactly the same.... unless there's some world zombie disaster or something which would change everything for everyone anyway. |

You are most welcome, i used to fly to Penang every Christmas for a break from filming and sit on the beach eating huge lobsters covered in garlic butter and grilled over an open flame, washed down with a Tiger Beer. It was heaven.

Just because someone or something is vegan in no way implies its healthy. I've a daughter-in-law that's living proof, she chows down on Soya Turkey roasts for dinner the blobs on couch eating salt and vinegar vegan chips.. washing it down with energy drinks.

GMO food causes a wide range of health problems. Nevermind all the Roundup required to grow that crap. It's like you're on the wrong side of nearly every issue. It's fascinating but sad. Doctors recommend organic, non-gmo food.

Yes, of course, I'll try it if I get a chance! The way I approach my food is that I eat a mostly plant-based diet and usually one of my meals ends up including an animal protein, preferably fish/seafood. I believe in a more balanced approach. Hey, if you're going to make a not so good decision by eating fast (processed) food, why not make a better decision if you can.

Now if you're talking about whole organic foods, then its not even a conversation worth having. You can't compare whole natural foods to meat alternatives, organic is going to win hands down everytime and nobody is going to dispute that fact. Your point would be moot.

Smith has written 2 books. HE claims he is a scientist but it turns out that he's not true. Smith is also the founder of that "institute". He has no formal training in any aspect of science, let alone biotech. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jonenti.../#61e06a34117f The complete research paper and its summaray I linked to is from 2016. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine however is full of real scientists, who do real work. You can even visit them in person at 500 Fifth Street, NW | Washington, DC 20001 or call them at 202.334.2000 or visit their site at Home | The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine | National-Academies.org | Where the Nation Turns for Independent, Expert Advice I know its easy to dismiss information you don't believe in for whatever reason, but like I said previously - challenge your beliefs. It's good for you! Peace.

No, its made from wheat protein, coconut oil, potato protein, and heme.

From https://www.thedailymeal.com/eat/sec...ossible-burger According to the Impossible Foods website, the Impossible Burger is made from ingredients including wheat protein, coconut oil, potato protein, and heme. And that last one — heme — is the secret ingredient that makes the Impossible Burger taste so much like meat. Red meat gets its color and unique texture from the same heme compound — though Impossible Foods gets its heme from entirely plant-based sources. Heme contains iron, giving meat that distinctive, iron-like taste. It's found in animal blood and muscle — which make up a good portion of the cuts used in ground beef. The heme in muscle is a part of myoglobin (which makes up the "blood" you think is coming from your juicy burger or steak) while the heme in blood exists in hemoglobin. Impossible Foods discovered that a certain plant compound contains heme, as well — leghemoglobin. They learned to extract heme from plants and produce more of it using fermentation. While they could have extracted the heme directly from plants, using this fermentation process instead saves water and farmland. It also produces just an eighth of the greenhouse gases that would otherwise be required. Quote:

I have eaten veggie burgers and I am not a fan at all. Meat is delicious. But hey, if this new burger is safe and delicious and nutritious and saves some animals and is better for the planet, then damn right I'll eat them. Its worth a try at least, isn't it? I know holding on to old things and old traditions and old ways are comforting, but if they are bad, they are bad. Now: Today for lunch I'm going to hop in to my electric car and go buy an impossible burger and smoke week and dance on the mountain before I jerk it to Hillary.

That fucking douchebag is a PROVEN biotech industry shill. He got caught taking I believe $20K from Monsanto to publish results they wanted to see. He is a lying scumbag who will poison you for a few bucks. The Misleading and Deceitful Ways of Dr. Kevin Folta Quote:

You fell for industry propaganda, Mark. It's like the ciggarette companies claiming that smoking was actually healthy for people. They pushed the lie for decades to make huge profits. Real food is organic non-gmo
