News Man accused in Des Moines triple homicide returned to US twice after deportation

DES MOINES, Iowa – A man accused of killing a mother and her two children was in the U.S. illegally and had twice previously been deported, federal authorities say.

Marvin Oswaldo Esquivel-Lopez, 31, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder for Tuesday night's triple homicide.

His victims have been identified as a small family he was living with: Rossibeth Flores-Rodriguez, 29; Grecia Daniela Alvarado-Flores, 11; and Ever Jose Mejia-Flores, 5. Officers, responding to a 911 call, found the three bodies at the home Tuesday night, according to police.

A spokesman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Wednesday that the accused's name is actually Marvin Oswaldo Escobar-Orellana and he returned to the U.S. after being deported to Guatemala.

"Escobar-Orellana, aka, Marvin O. Esquivel-Lopez, was previously (deported) from the United States in 2010 and again in 2011," ICE spokesman Shawn Neudauer said. "He has a prior federal conviction for illegal entry into the United States in 2010. He is not currently in ICE custody.”

Court records show his 2011 deportation stemmed from illegal entry to the U.S. near Laredo, Texas. He was sentenced to 15 days "confinement" and ordered not to return to the country illegally.

An undocumented immigrant who re-enters the country without authorization after having been previously deported can be charged with a felony, which — depending on the person’s record — is punishable by up to 20 years in federal prison, if convicted.

Des Moines police have said that the man known as Marvin Esquivel-Lopez is not believed to have had a romantic relationship with Flores-Rodriguez.

Of those "non-U.S. citizens" working in farms across the US how many do you estimate are visa over stayers, came in via authorised point of entry or walked across the border? Add to that the criminal element, murderers, gangs, drug runners etc.

Saying they will build tunnels or come by sea is bullshit, they can do that today but walking is the easiest. So they walk. With a more secure border you can then divert resources to finding tunnels, stopping ships and making America great again.

Who knows it might even reduce the $22 trillion debt you have.

The first fine I would agree is too lenient, but subsequent fines and imprisonment mean they will have to hire Americans. If it was imposed, but it's not. So they hire many illegals and get away with it time after time.

The idea that only immigrants will work for such a low wage is right. The problem is the West has pandered to the business and corporate community for far too long. The result is businesses and corporations make huge profits. The country sinks into ever mounting debt.

The reasons are clear. The native worker doesn't disappear, he goes onto a low wage or welfare. Because businesses and corporations are hiring immigrants to do jobs Westerners would do for better wages.

We've seen sums of $50k as the cost of an unemployed worker, add that to the cost of the cheap migrant, add the cost of crime, education, healthcare, etc and the overall cost is sky rocketing. Almost all illegals in this country are people who over stayed their visa's.. The ones that come across the border is extremely small percentage..

I'm 100% for going after illegals at job sites and going after employers who keep hiring illegals. That is what solves the issue.. Building walls will not solve anything because it's mostly the criminal element that crosses illegally and those types will dig tunnels if they need to and the gangs/cartel will control access to those tunnels so you are funneling even more money & power into the hands of the cartels..
