It touched a record high of $1,417.38 in Jan 10, 2018, today it stands around $200. It all depends if you are in the game long term or short term and your own expectations.

In my opinion, ETH is doomed and you shouldn't invest into it.

Sure, it's great tech with the smart contracts/tokens and all BUT it's those very tokens that are it's undoing. Most of the shitcoins that came out are ETH tokens. Everyone bought them with ETH, and all those ICOs have to sell that ETH to realize their projects. A good portion of those ICOs never came to realization. Etherium price dropped massively, which is why so many of those shitcoins failed - it wasn't that they all had bad intentions in the start, but now instead of $1 mil they now had $100k. In a large part it's these shitcoin ICOs that caused ETH to go up in the first place. Many of them are still holding this etherium hoping for better times, so any time etherium will have any gains these ICO owners will try to sell their holdings, driving the price downwards.

I am on ETH about over 10 months and waiting, also some weeks later with all that COVID, ETH was about 90euros!!! Best time to buy!
